Workbook 2021 2 | NORDISK WORKBOOK 2021 A Brand New Beginning! When writing this introduction to our Nordisk Workbook 2021 this was meant as a commercial view on our own business. But we have all been overtaken by a real-life development which no one could have envisioned just a few months ago! Consequently, the wording of the headline now holds even more truth than initially thought! The health crisis of 2020 has forced us all to reconsider and rethink how we act and how we live, both in our work- and private life, but also in our pact with Nature. At Nordisk we believe that Nature is luxury and that spending time in Nature improves our overall quality of life! This is key in everything we do, from considering new products, deciding what is good enough to get into our range over production done in the most sustainable manner to marketing and communication. This has now resulted in two considerable changes in how we work. For 15 years, Nordisk and Yeti have co-existed as separate brands under the Nordisk corporate umbrella. We have now decided to bring them together, offering adventurers, outdoor enthusiasts or people who just want to be outside a full range outdoor brand with both apparel and hardware, while making much better use of the obvious synergies between two specialist premium brands, Nordisk and Yeti. Down products will continue to bear the iconic red Y from Yeti, creating a luxury product line of sleeping bags and lightweight insulation apparel named Y by Nordisk or simply red Y. When you look through this workbook, you will see just how much sense this fusion makes. Finding the right gear should be a fun and inspiring beginning to any adventure. We have therefore built a shortcut for you; by creating 3 inspiring universes to present this new overwhelming range of great Nordisk products as an alternative to huge product categories. We call the new Nordisk Universes “Spirit”, “Ambition” and “Addiction”. On the following pages, before getting introduced to our new Nordisk Universes, we have outlined some of the points that really matter to us. The main one being high quality as a driver for equipment that lasts a lifetime, thus reducing waste and impact on Nature. This is our definition of sustainability. So dive in. Choose your passion.
