Spain [email protected] ABSTRACT The music for the animation cinema is closely linked with the characters’ movement and the narrative action. This paper presents the Temporary Semiotic Units (TSU’s) proposed by Delalande, as a multimodal tool for the music analysis of the actions in cartoons, following the tradition of the Mickey Mousing. For this, a profile with the applicability of the nineteen TSU’s was applied to the fourteen Pixar movies produced between 1995-2013. The results allow us to state the convenience of the use of the TSU’s for the music comprehension in these films, especially in regard to the subject matter and the characterization of the characters and as a support to the visual narrative of this genre. FMVSS 209, Seat Belt Assemb- lies, was the first standard to become effective on March 1, 1967. A number of FMVSS became effective for vehicles manufactured on and after January 1, 1968. Subsequently, other FMVSS have been issued. For instance, NHTSA has issued seven new FMVSS and has amended six FMVSS and two consumer infor- mation regulations and requirements since this booklet was revised in March 1999. -

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Crime and Spatial Analysis of Vehicle Theft in a Non-Urban Region Motor vehicle theft in non-urban areas does not reveal the well-recognized hot spots often associated with crime in urban areas. These findings resulted from a study of 2003 vehicle thefts in a four-county region of western North Carolina comprised primarily of small towns and unincorporated areas. While the study suggested that point maps have limited value for areas with low volume and geographically-dispersed crime, the steps necessary to create regional maps – including collecting and validating crime locations with Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates – created a reliable dataset that permitted more in-depth analysis. -

Sarah Mitchell, MLC Minister for Aboriginal Affairs GPO Box 5341 SYDNEY NSW 2001 Dear Minister, Open Letter of Concern about the Narrow Scope of the NSW Stolen Generations Reparations Scheme The NSW Young Lawyers’ Human Rights Committee is concerned over the exclusion of some Stolen Generations people from the Stolen Generations Reparations Scheme (‘Reparations Scheme’). We recommend that the NSW Government immediately rectify the eligibility criteria of the Stolen Generations Reparations Scheme so that members of the Stolen Generations are eligible for reparations regardless of which government agency (including the Child Welfare Department) was involved in their removal in pursuance of the NSW Government policy of assimilation. NSW Young Lawyers NSW Young Lawyers is a division of The Law Society of New South Wales.
