Toxics Substance Reduction Plan Summary– Ethyl acetate, Isopropyl alcohol, & Methyl isobutyl ketone 201 Confederation Parkway, Concord October 4, 2013 Co-Ex-Tec (Confederation)

INTRODUCTION Facility Summary Co-Ex-Tec (Confederation) Co-Ex-Tec (Confederation), also known as CET North, manufactures trim and exterior parts for the automotive industry using extrusion and injection molding using plastic (PVC – polyvinyl chloride and/or EPDM – propylene diene monomer rubber and/or TPV – thermal plastic vulcanized), stamping of metal (steel, aluminum or bi-metal) and assembly operations. Steel and aluminum is received in coils (sheet and wire) which are used in the extrusion department. The metal is uncoiled and an adhesive and/or promoter is applied before being sent through a curing oven. After curing, rubber or PVC is extruded to create the profile. After extrusion, parts are then cooled and cut to length. Extruded parts are then sent to assembly where the extrusions are bent, pierced, or punched as required. Received components such as foam or protective tapes are also added to the extrusions during the assembly process as required. Depending on the part, a slip coat and flock may be applied to the part by robotic spray units or by manual application. Coated parts are then dried in curing ovens. All final parts are then inspected and shipped off-Site. CET North’s Environmental Management System (EMS) has been certified to the ISO 14001 standard since July 21, 2001, and recertified on September 10, 2010. CET North is actively engaged in seeking environmentally sustainable opportunities, such as:  Reduction in electricity usage through a lighting retrofit project completed March 2010  An additional capacitor (400 KVR) added to improve Power Factor  Two additional re-grind machines added to increase in-house capability for recycling PVC and TPV  Substitute TPV for EPDM where possible  Upgraded air compressors to improve energy conservation  Regularly conduct compressed air audits
