Through the Greek HCV Elimination Mini Policy Summit, we managed to: • Facilitate engagement between Greek level and the EU level, to demonstrate what the government and the stakeholder community are trying to achieve and how the EU can support these efforts; • Understand the challenges Greek faces: lack of awareness and screening and low access to innovative treatments; • Share the existing best practice of Portugal to reinforce the fact that HCV elimination is a possibility; • Discuss concrete solutions to support Greece in eliminating HCV and the role of the national government and the EU in this context; • Identify required policy changes to achieve elimination of HCV by 2030 in Europe and the concrete steps that need to be taken (both at EU and Greek levels) to ensure the implementation of the Elimination Manifesto; • Alignment on the pressing need for more inclusive treatment criteria in order to increase access; • Involve all key stakeholders in Greece to achieve the goal of HCV elimination.
