The children are concentrating in the drawing to stand out in the competition.      It was Resorts World Genting's fourth year as main sponsor of the event that is aimed at instilling awareness of the importance of preserving the environment among the public through birdwatching activities. The flora and fauna at Kuala Kubu Bharu and the Hulu Selangor district were the focus of the event, along with the Awana Hotel and Genting Highlands—both a destination for various Malaysian birds and migratory birds.

Not all Malaysians may know this but Awana Hotel is recognised as an Important Bird Area (IBA) by Birdlife International. The majestic rainforest here has a history that spans 130 million years—a prime site for birdwatchers and all nature lovers.

Foreigner participant also loving in encounter the rarest plant and bird species in Awana Genting Highlands, Malaysia.

Yang DiPertua Majlis Daerah Hulu Selangor, Mohamad Zain Bin A Hamid was understandably delighted with how the event turned out this year, saying he was pleased there were participants from countries like India, Brunei, Cambodia and Indonesia.
