    MICHAELMICHAEL HOLMHOLM Biographie www.lucille.de Am Anfang stand für MICHAEL HOLM das Schreiben, und fast wäre es dabei geblieben. 1968, er war mittlerweile ein sehr erfolgreicher Autor, beschloß er, sich in Zukunft ganz aufs Komponieren und Texten zu konzentrieren und seine Karriere als Sänger zu beenden. Und wäre es seinem damaligen Produzenten Giorgio Moroder (dem Mann, der Donna Summer zum Durchbruch verhalf) im folgenden Jahr nicht gelungen, ihn noch einmal zu einer Aufnahme zu überreden, wäre es wohl auch bei diesem Entschluß geblieben. So aber kam alles anders: “Mendocino“ wurde ein Riesenhit und MICHAEL HOLM auch als Interpret eine Institution. Zu Beginn seiner Karriere stand jedoch ein kleines Ensemble von sechs begeistert Musizierenden, Michael mit seinen vier Geschwistern unter der Leitung seines Vaters, er, der Jüngste, die Blockflöte blasend. Die Konzerte damals fanden nicht auf großer Bühne statt und sie waren auch nicht für ein breites Publikum gedacht. Doch Michael sagt, wenn er in Erinnerungen schwelgt: „das Musizieren in der Familie war für mich eine Weichenstellung in die Welt der Musik." Inzwischen hat er weit über 850 Songs geschrieben, gesungen von ihm selbst und vielen Kollegen, darunter so große Namen wie Peter Alexander, Rex Gildo, Petula Clark, Ricky Shayne, Roy Black, Howard Carpendale, Francoise Hardy, Heidi Brühl, Peggy March, Mary Roos, Erik Sylvester, Martin Mann, France Gall, Bata Illic, Peter Maffay und Joy Fleming. Eine illustre Liste, die MICHAEL HOLM zu einem der erfolgreichsten Texter Deutschlands macht.
