The Fifteenth Catherine Veronica Christmas Fundraiser December 2020 Fashion for the Cure Due to current conditions and our efforts to halt the spread of COVID-19, we were forced to postpone the 12th Annual Fashion for the Cure. We are saddened because this delays our fund- raising efforts to help support families seeking cancer treatment in the Philadelphia area. Fashion for the Cure is hopeful that we can continue with our event sometime in the near future. If you are able to support your community throughout this trying time, please continue to remember the Cathy Miller Cancer Fund and the AstraZeneca HOPE Lodge. We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you again soon! Wishing you good health and safety. ~Graceann THANK YOU TO ALL THE FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS OF THE CATHY MILLER CANCER FUND During this turbulent and uncertain time, we are humbled by the compassion and generosity of our supporters. Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, your steadfast support has lifted our spirits and buoyed our determination. Although we were not together physically, you reached out your hands in solidarity to prove that no one stands alone. This year our gratitude goes even deeper. As an organization, we had to adapt to new avenues of fundraising. Your response to our first ever “Virtual at Home Edition” for the Uries and Christmas Gala Events exceeded our expectations. You honored your commitment to those in need by continuing to support the HOPE Lodge. These are extraordinary times. Thank you for standing with us. He would visit each & every table. He listened with kindness & compassion; always a pillar of strength to those in need. We remember him with love & affection. A starter for all 92 games of his career, he averaged 17.9 points per game while leading the Owls to 60 wins, three NCAA Tournaments and a trip to the 1993 Elite Eight. As a member of the Sixers in 2000-01, McKie enjoyed his best season, taking home Sixth Man of the Year honors while helping his hometown team reach the NBA Finals. That season, he recorded back-to-back triple-doubles at Sacramento on Dec. 30, 2000 (19 points, 14 assists, 10 rebounds) and vs. Atlanta on Jan. 3, 2001 (11 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists).
