OUT AND ABOUT IN WARWICK NOrth YOUR WARWICK NORTH CONSERVATIVE TEAM HAS BEEN BUSY WORKING ON YOUR BEHALF ON VARIOUS MATTERS “I was approached by residents in the Westcliff Drive area with concerns about the state of the street name plates, which had become rusty and bent” said Glenn Williams, ‘Not only were they an eyesore but visitors to the four other roads in that area didn’t know where they were supposed to turn. Other drivers would turn onto Westcliff Drive without realising it was a cul-de-sac.” He met with council officers. “I hope this has made it a lot easier for the residents and their visitors.” He added. Dangerous Wall repaired In September 2011 local residents came to councillors with concerns over the wall between Arncliffe Way and Edmondes Close, which had bricks missing and had led to anti-social behaviour from children climbing over the wall. Although the wall was property of ‘the Crown Estate’ not the District Council, The local action team have kept up the pressure on the council for the work to be done at a reasonable cost to the ratepayers. It took 18 Moira-Ann Grainger and Glenn months but we’re pleased with the results.
