Winston-Salem State also boasts the top rushing offense (233.09 yards/game) and All-Time Record (since 1916) ........398-389-27 scoring offense (43.45 points/game) in the CIAA with the scoring offense ranking fourth in the All-Time NCAA Playoff Record ..8-4 (.636) country. Senior running back Nicholas Cooper ranks second in the conference and ninth in the Years in NCAA Playoffs ................................5 country with 1,462 rushing yards, while posting 17 rushing touchdowns. Cooper, who rushed for over 1,100 yards last year, has posted eight 100-yard games this season with a season-high 257 Assistant Coaches yards and four touchdowns against Fayetteville State. In the CIAA Championship, he posted 163 rushing yards and three scores versus Elizabeth City State. Junior quarterback Kameron Smith Mike Conway (Olivet Nazarene ‘83) - 10th season has passed for over 2,000 yards and leads the CIAA with a passing efficiency of 151.10 behind 28 Associate Head Coach/Defensive Coord. touchdown passes. Junior Tehvyn Brantley leads the receiving corps with 37 receptions, 354 Mike Kellar - (Fairmont State ‘96) - 6th season yards and seven touchdowns, while senior Dominique Fitzgerald has five scores and averages Associate Head Coach/Offensive Coord. nearly 15 yards/reception. The Rams feature one of the top punting units in the nation, as Landen Thyaer averages 40.7 yards/punt with nine punts inside the opponents’ 20 yard-line. Fitzgerald D’Monn Baker (Bowling Green ‘03) - 5th season and junior Jameze Massey are two of the most explosive return specialists in the country, as Tight Ends Winston-Salem State ranks third in the country with an average of 17.87 yards/punt return. Dave Cole (California ‘04) - 8th season UNFAMILIAR FOE: This weekend marks the first all-time meeting between Cal U and Winston- Secondary/Recruiting Coordinator Salem State. The Vulcans and Rams share a common opponent this season in Elizabeth City State. John Durham (Navy ‘60) - 9th season Last week, Cal U posted a 44-0 victory over the Vikings in the first round of the NCAA Playoffs. Defensive Consultant Winston-Salem State defeated ECSU twice this season, including a 38-18 victory in the CIAA Mike Evans (Saginaw Valley ‘00) - 9th season Championship on Nov. 12. The Vulcans are now 3-0 all-time against members of the CIAA with playoff wins over Fayetteville State (2009) and Elizabeth City State (2011). Offensive Line Mike R. Jacobs (Ohio State ‘01) - 4th season NCAA HISTORY: The Vulcans are making their fifth all-time appearance (8-4) in the NCAA Defensive Line Playoffs, while the Rams are in the post-season for the sixth time (1-5) in school history.
