Additionally, students that were Session II: new to Ballou STAY in the fall of 2020 never had an opportunity to meet teachers and staff in 7/26/2021 person. These students missed the most valuable secret ingredient for success at Ballou STAY, building a relationship meaningful relationship with a caring adult.

The primary objectives for our summer focus include the following:

Providing students with an enriching experience to introduce them to the Ballou STAY Way, develop habits of success, and create meaningful relationships with peers, teachers, and staff.

Facilitating a project- based learning experience that highlights the culture, political, social, economic history, and current events of the District of Columbia as an introduction to the academic style and expectation of Ballou STAY.
