Bartholomee n February 15, the Whole Foods Market in Annapolis Towne Centre donated 5 percent of their total sales for the day to the Library Foundation. Four times a President year, the Annapolis Whole Foods chooses an area nonprofit organization to be the recipient of a single day’s receipts from that store. The Library Foundation Lisa Hillman Oreceived over $6,500 from the event. Vice President AACPL’s Marketing and Communications Manager Christine Feldmann, with Outreach Librarian Kt Zawodny, developed an all-day program with library staff Barbara D. Maxwell who led an in-store storytime for Whole Foods shoppers, staffed tables where people could sign up for a library card and even check out a book, see craft Secretary demonstrations and learn about upcoming library programs. n February 7, members of the Annapolis City Council and staff from the Annapolis mayor’s office were invited to view the newly installed SMART OTable in the children’s area at the Annapolis library. The table was purchased with a $12,100 City of Annapolis Community Grant awarded to the Library Foundation in 2016. Fred Paone and Rhonda Pindell Charles of the #YourLibraryBetter Annapolis City Council were on hand for the demonstration which was also attended by library staff and Library Board Chair Don Roland. The Library Designed to be used by one or more children, the SMART Table encourages collaborative learning and creative problem solving. Up to eight children can learn together at the same time interacting with activities on the table’s Foundation multi-touch surface.
