The XVIIIth Congress of the CBGA with Pre-Congress, Post-Congress and Special Excursions will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, from the 3rd – 6th September, 2006. The sessions will be held at the Sava Centar, Milentija Popovića 9, 11070 Belgrade.

B2: Post-Congress excursion: 3 days; ���������������������Thursday, September 7th – Saturday, September 9th, 2006;����������� Belgrade, Z�aje���č�ar,���������������������������������������������������� Knjaževac, Stara Planina Mt., Pirot, Belava Mt., Jerma, Zvonačka Banja, Niš, Aleksinac, Belgrade - “Geology of Southern part of the Eastern Serbia” focused on geology of the next Alpine tectonic units of the Carpatho-Balkanides: Stara Planina-Poreč Unit i.e. Upper Danubicum (Late Proterozoic and Cambrian volcanogenic- sedimentary rocks, Devonian deposits of the continental slope, Upper Permian continental deposits of the aluvial fans and meandering rivers, Lower Triassic products of braided rivers); Kučaj Unit i.e. Geticum (Ordovician shalow marine siliciclastics, Silurian graptolite schists, Devonian preflysch Varniće Fm., proximal and distal parts of the Kučaj-Zvonce flysch, Urgonian massive limestone and Upper Cretaceous Poganovo paralic series); and Paleozoic sediments of the Tumba-Penkjovci (Miljkovac) and Ranovac-Vlasina units (Suprageticum). Registration fee covers the costs of Book Abstracts, Programme hand-book, refreshments during breaks and the Icebreaker party. Cancellations received in writing by July 15, 2006 will be refunded in full, less administrative cost of 25 EUR. After July 15, 2006 refunds for cancellation are not applicable. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reduce Fee for limited number of students from each member country.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

Belgrade is well known for it’s cultural, historical and tourist traditions as well as for its pleasant climate and for its hospitality. Belgrade hotels offer pleasant accommodation, rich gastronomic fare, and are close to excellent entertainment and shopping. The city has a friendly, lively academic atmosphere, due to the presence of the Belgrade University and its students. The organizers hope participants will enjoy their stay in Belgrade, with its beautiful setting on two major rivers and numerous other attractions. Belgrade is connected with most European towns by a variety of means of transportation. The participants arriving at the Belgrade International Airport are recommended to take the airport bus to the Bus Air Terminal (Hotel Slavija). Different categories of Belgrade hotels are booked for the Congress participants. HOTEL INTERCONTINENTAL is connected with the Congress Centre by the closed passage. HOTEL SLAVIJA is located downtown Belgrade with good connection to the Congress Centre by the public transportation (Tram nr. 9). Hotel reservation should be made by Hotel Accommodation Form ONLY!  No down payment is required. Final hotel bill should be paid in hotel, when checking out. All prices are given per room per day and based on the bed/breakfast basis including the city tax. Notification of cancellation of the hotel reservation MUST be sent to Congress Secretariat. INSTRUCTION TO AUTHORS

All speakers will be allocated 15 minutes for the presentation of a paper, followed by the 5 minutes for discussion. Overhead and Slide projection will be available, but PowerPoint presentation is preferred. Papers not longer than four (4) typed pages (including short abstract, tables, figures and references) in camera-ready form should reach Congress Secretariat before April 15th, 2006. Camera-ready papers will be printed in Congress Proceedings in the submitted form and distributed to each participant at the Congress registration. Manuscript should be written in English according to the following: - The main body text (Microsoft Word, font Times New Roman, 10 pt.) should be written into two columns (width 8.4 cm and spacing 0.7 cm) in A4 format single-spaced with margins of 2.5 cm top, 3.0 cm bottom, 2.0 cm left and 1.5 cm right margins. The title of the manuscript should be written 5 cm from the top in bold letters (title: 12 pt., centered, all caps), followed by the full name and surname of the author(s) (2 spaces, 10 pt., centered) and addresses (1 space, left justified, 9 pt.). - The abstract (9 pt., fully justified) should be concise and should present the aim of the work, essential results and conclusion. The length should not exceed 10 lines. - Key words: Up to 6 words (9 pt., align left). - All illustrations should be incorporated in the text at the appropriate place and if possible adjusted to one column width. In the special cases using whole page wideness is admitable but, after the figure (table) return to double column writing. Explanation of the illustrations should be written in font size 9 pt.

The envelope with the documents must include: - Printed 2 high quality copyies of the article with the captions of the illustrations placed in the appropriate position within the text. - CD copy containing the text, images and graphs saved in separate file. The preferred format for graphs are TIF, JPG or CDR (300 dpi) and for images TIF or JPG (600 dpi).

 Visa requirements

Serbia and Montenegro is not a member of the European Union and of the Schengen Treaty. Organizers will provide a personal invitation letter to any participant upon request, in order to obtain Visa.
