Congratulations! Your purchase proves your taste in musical instruments is superb. Peavey offers a wide variety of bass guitars for beginners to professionals, each with unique qualities and features. While our professional luthiers have carefully inspected your guitar, every model requires some initial setup, and periodic maintenance is required for peak performance. To ensure proper care of your quality instrument, visit www.peavey.com/accessories for Peavey-recommended accessories, parts and cleaning supplies. Cleaning & Care When properly cared for, your Peavey bass will offer you years of pleasure. Playing your bass means that you will need to perform regular, general maintenance, such as cleaning and proper storage, to keep it looking and sounding great. Every time you play your bass, body oils and perspiration are transferred to the body, back of the neck, headstock, fingerboards, strings, tuners, pickups and bridge. After you finish performing, but before you put your bass away, take a moment to remove these contaminants. Cleaning - Wood To clean and care for the major wood parts of your bass guitar (body, headstock and the back of the neck), Peavey recommends that you use a clean, soft, lint-free, dry cotton cloth and the specially formulated guitar polish available at www.peavey.com/acces- sories.

  • 7 Common Mistakes When Buying a Beginner Guitar
7 common mistakes when buying a beginner guitar 1. Getting the wrong sound – Classical, Acoustic or Electric? You have 3 basic choices of sound when you buy a guitar – Nylon String Classical, Steel String Acoustic and Electric. A lot of people believe that the best choice is to start on an Acoustic Guitar and build up to an Electric Guitar. However, I think it’s really about getting the sound that you want. If you like AC/DC, Green Day, or say the Foo Fighters, you really need an Electric Guitar to get the sound you want. If you like Jack Johnson, Ben Harper or Taylor Swift, An acoustic could be a good choice. Nylon string guitars sound great for flamenco music, classical music and a lot of traditional music. But they aren’t a great choice for pop music. Having said this, if it’s for a child under 12 we normally do recommend a nylon string as it’s easier for them to press the strings down. Young boys can be little better then young girls as this, so if you have a rough and tumble boy he might be able to handle steel strings earlier than a young girl. If you’re not sure what type of guitar is best for you, then just think of the music that you like to listen to the most, and call or email us. We will give you a personalized recommendation. 2. Getting the wrong size This is something that a lot of people get wrong. Electric Guitars are much smaller than Steel string acoustic guitars and Nylon String classical guitars, they can basically be used by most people, but you do need to consider the extra weight.

Peavey offers a wide va- riety of guitars for beginners to professionals, each with unique qualities and features. While our professional luthiers have carefully inspected your guitar, every model re- quires some initial set up, and periodic maintenance is required for peak performance. To ensure proper care of your quality instrument, visit www.peavey.com/accessories for Peavey-recommended accessories, parts and cleaning supplies. Cleaning & Care When properly cared for, your Peavey guitar will offer you years of pleasure. Playing your guitar means that you will need to perform regular, general main- tenance, such as cleaning and proper storage, to keep it looking and sounding great. Every time you play your guitar, body oils and perspiration are transferred to the body, back of the neck, headstock, fingerboards, strings, tuners, pickups and bridge. After you finish performing, but before you put your guitar away, take a moment to remove these contaminants. Cleaning - Wood To clean and care for the major wood parts of your guitar (body, headstock or the back of the neck), Peavey recommends that you use a clean, soft, lint-free, dry cotton cloth and specially for- mulated guitar polish available at www.peavey.com/acces- sories.
