Sulgi Lim is the director of admission at where she earned her bachelor’s degree in history with a concentration in race and ethnicity in North America. She has been working at Williams for eleven years, and prior to that, spent a year as a business analyst for a management consulting firm. Sulgi is energized by opportunities to bring together admission, high school, and CBO colleagues to discuss how we can best support first-generation and low-income students as they apply, enroll, and graduate from highly-selective ; and is always excited to speak with colleagues newer to the profession who are considering whether to make admission a career path.

Claudia is a 2006 graduate of Bowdoin College with a major in Art History and a minor in Government and Legal Studies. She joined the admissions office in 2010 and has overseen the expansion of the college’s multicultural recruitment efforts through larger fly-in programs that fund visits for students underrepresented in higher education and has increased Bowdoin’s partnerships with community based organizations across the country. Claudia’s recruitment territories have included AZ, CA, FL, MA, NM, NV, NY, TX, and annual travel to Central and South America to further diversify the College’s international applicant pool. In the summer of 2016, Claudia was appointed director of admissions. As director, she oversees the operations of the admissions office including supervision of staff, recruitment and enrollment strategy, and serves on a variety of campus-wide committees and working groups.

Calvin Wise is the Director of Recruitment at Johns Hopkins University. He is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of domestic and international recruitment initiatives. Calvin is also a member of the senior leadership team and chair of selection committee. This is his seventh year at Hopkins and ninth year in college admissions. Before coming to JHU, Calvin worked at his alma mater, St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Throughout his admissions career, he has counseled and evaluated students from all around the world as well coordinated the efforts to attract a diverse student body to his respective college campuses.
