The kids of Imperial Courts in Watts, have Imperial Dreams that we can make a reality today. We have had the privilege of watching many of these children grow up. We have also witnessed the reality of violence, hardship and pain that comes from living in a city where 39% of the population lives below the poverty line, under $1.90 a day.

What if we could change not just the perception of Watts but the potential. The Projects are currently known as an epicenter for gangs but we believe this Empowerment Center will put Watts on the map to be known as an epicenter for change, creativity, business, entrepreneurship, and community.

I don’t know why I was born into the neighborhood I was, while these children were born into the zip code they were. But what I do know is WE CAN change the story of one of the most underserved areas of America.

One day we’re going to look back at this moment and say it was a defining moment for the youth from Watts that have gone on to change the world! Join us and let’s redefine a zip code together.
