Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion th Vol. 24 No. 14 April 13 2014

Thought For The Week

Holy Week During Holy Week the Church celebrates the mysteries of salvation accomplished by Christ in the last days of his life on earth, beginning with his messianic entrance into Jerusalem. The Lenten season last until the Thursday of this week. The Easter Triduum begins with the evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper. The Easter Triduum of the Passion & Resurrection of Christ is the culmination of the entire liturgical year. The celebration of the Paschal Mystery is not simply a recalling of past events in history. It is a sacramental celebration that makes present and actualizes the saving power of Christ’s death & resurrection for us. I invite each and everyone to these celebrations.
