TRACKING COSTS • Cost Categories . Costs are tracked using Cost Categories . Cost Categories define information about costs such as how they are billed & what GL accounts are used . Unlimited Cost Categories can be defined . Be as detailed as you want, but don’t go crazy!

• What’s to bill? BILLING . After all cost transactions are posted, print a Pre-Billing Worksheet . Print an Aged Work-in-Progress to see how old your unbilled WIP is

• How do we bill using cycle billing? BILLING . Set up a billing cycle for each project . Use the Cycle Biller menu option . Create a batch of invoices by Customer, Contract or Project . Edit the invoices, if necessary . Print the invoices

REPORTING • Use the Create Combined History utility to update a table with data from multiple cost types • You must run this utility to incorporate new data

Use SQL to create a view or stored procedure that combines the data
