Formed in 2018 by Ray Maravilla on vocals and guitar, guitarists Angelo Zipagan and Prince Bautista, Angelo Narag on bass and Chi Zipagan on drums. Combining good old rock-and-roll, surf music with a songwriting resonant of Kundiman, the quintet made their debut EP, “Lumang Pag-ibig.” Melancholic with a subtle hint of despair. A collection of odes to love and devotion, of hearts lost in time and overwhelming distance. Lumang Pag-ibig is a tragic but nostalgic compilation of songs that will surely take you back wherever and hit you right where it should. "Lumang Pag-ibig" is now available on Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes. The band is hosting a show at Route 196 on November 16 2019 with Johnoy Danao, Shirebound and Busking, Banna Harbera, Hope County, Off to Neverland and Pinkmen. To quote their catch phrase, sEE you there! SPOTLIGHT 137 PARAMITA NE NIGHT during a drinking session in Alamat BF, Jun Sabayton, Brian Mendoza and Marco de Leon were talking about future events for the venue. In their conversations, One topic Jun strongly talked about was the child cancer rate in Bataan rose exponentially due to the emerging factories in the area. He also talked about the foundation he was part of and how he could help theses kids. Marco, who is an environmental advocate felt strongly that we should do something.... anything. In which Brian responded with the suggestion of doing a benefit gig for these kids and hold it in Alamat BF. The idea was sound and everybody loved it. Earlier that eveing Jun was expressing how he missed Marco's band Paramita and that he would love to see us perform even for just one night...thus the dots were connected and plans were put into place. Marco conveyed the message to Ria Bautista (drummer singer) and Alsey Cortez (bassist), in which both members responded with a fervent yes. So after 5 or 6 years... Paramita played for 1 night only at Alamat BF Paranaque last Oct 19 for the benefit of Limay, Bataan. PHOTO BY PATRICK BRIONES ARTIST 9 RE:CON The band’s formation began early February of 2019 within the heart of the city of Cabuyao in Laguna. Followed by an impromptu live jam session for a friend’s party between its first three members; Paeng on guitars, Tabo also on guitars and Kawal on drums. Paeng met Kawal on a previous jam session while Tabo was a long time guitar budy. Playing mostly extended versions of Juan de la Cruz’ songs which happen to be their only common ground just to fill in the night, little did they know they are paying tribute to the father of rock and roll in the Philippines as the next day will be Pepe Smith’s goodbye. It was that jam though, that sparked the birth of a new rock and roll for the boys of Re:Con. They decided to form a band just a week after; with Onin who had been with Tabo and another band with Kawal taking the role as their bassist. They manage to finish an original song in a 2 hour jam session at a rehearsal studio, it was High95. Their common friend Ding was filling in for the vocals at the time. The band was on a hunt for the perfect vocalist when they found Cohn; the missing piece of the puzzle. Cohn was a known vocalist to musicians within Cabuyao and also happens to be a relative of their guitarist Tabo. With the pieces fitted perfectly together, they originally called themselves “Con” before they finally established the name Re:Con. With individual influences ranging from roots of rock, grunge, blues, jazz, funk, fusion to metal, emo, hardcore, extending to the more moderns styles of music such as math rock and djent the band wrote several other songs within a short period of time such as Resistance, Open Fire, Slice and Salsa (with the exclusion of a few other songs which the band haven’t played live). The song writing process happens in a very collaborative way; where everyone has their own inputs in every song while keeping it all in order. The band is currently under an experimental stage where they are still exploring different musical possibilities; hence, labelling their music as “experimental rock music”. The band was able to reach the eliminations round of Red Beer Muziklaban 2019 and was recently featured in Rakista Live. Their basic attitude is “Wear your own colours” GEARS Cohn (Vocals) -Naaaaah. Consisting of Vocalist, Ron D. Lion a Rapper and Lyricist, Jimrose Mercado a Jazz and Blues Guitarist, Justin Cruz a Deathcore Bassist, Jieboy Nazario a Reggae Percussionist and Ejay Gomez a Metalcore Drummer. Together, they are creating and experimenting unique and original sounds of mixed genres in their original songs, with smooth rapping and strong growls, funky and solid riffs, heavy bass lines, groovy percussions and up beat drum plays. Their songs are about real life experiences and issues around the society such as drugs, sex, alcohol, gamble, love, politics, corruption, religion, hopes and new beginnings. MCD came together to share the same passion and to achieve the same objectives thru music. Nu Metal Never Die! ARTIST 15 There's a new predator in the local music scene in the form of the five-piece metal act KILLERWEIL! Composed of frontman Weil Ylagan, Chislon Bolanos and Jeriel Fautagana on guitars, Cyro Albino on bass, and Regin Nolasco on drums, their music carries the same intensity that Orcas or killer whales possess to dominate their prey. The band recently released its sophomore single called "Kalasag" which serves as the band's campaign against bullying. Right now, Killerweil is busy creating more gut wrenching original hybrid creations, blasting their prominent presence at gigs, and rounding up live guestings. You can now stream "KALASAG" by Killerweil in different platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer) and you can see its official lyric video below! DJ SCENE 16 Torrid Manila 30 August Cinko The last Friday of August turned out to be a hot and happy night at Cinko. FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH Große Elbstr. 277 a ∙ 22767 Hamburg Tel. (040) 853 88 888 ∙ www.fkpscorpio.com PRESSEMITTEILUNG 22.05.2015 THE GET UP KIDS kommen im August nach Köln THE GET UP KIDS sind wieder da. Jetzt haben THE GET UP KIDS bestätigt, dass 2015 wieder allen gemeinsam gehören soll.

  • Garbage & the Temper Trap Join for Next Winery Series!
Media Release – Thursday July 28 GARBAGE & THE TEMPER TRAP JOIN FOR NEXT WINERY SERIES! With the Preatures, Tash Sultana and Adalita a day on the green has assembled an epic line-up for its next series of winery concerts. Alt-rock pioneers Garbage and Australia’s own multi-platinum chart toppers The Temper Trap will come together as part of their respective national tours for five outdoor events through November/December. The concerts will feature a stellar under-card with special guests The Preatures, Tash Sultana and Adalita. The five band bill kicks off at Victoria’s Rochford Wines on Saturday November 26. These will be the Garbage’s first Australian shows since 2013 and celebrate their acclaimed sixth studio album Strange Little Birds (out now via Liberator Music). To create Strange Little Birds, their first album in four years, Garbage (Shirley Manson, Steve Marker, Duke Erikson and Butch Vig) drew on a variety of influences including the albums they loved growing up. Upon its June release, the album debuted at #9 on the ARIA Album Chart and picked up widespread acclaim: ‘20-plus years after forming, each band member is still fired up to mine new sounds and approaches for inspiration. That willingness to be uncomfortable and look beneath the surface makes Strange Little Birds a rousing success.’ – The A.V. Club ‘The electronic rockers return with a sixth studio album as cool and caustic as their 1995 debut’ – NME ‘Garbage haven’t released an album this immediate, melodically strong and thematically interesting since their self-titled 1995 debut.’ – Mojo In support of the album’s release, Garbage performed a powerful two-song performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! – watch ‘Empty’ here and ‘Push It’ here.
