Since 2014, a concerted effort has been made to expand the traineeship and apprenticeship offerings.

The move to focus on this area has increased the engagement of Advance with industry, which has allowed us to react quickly to industry needs and demands, and build strong and sustainable relationships with employers.

Apprenticeships now account for the majority of our training delivery, which has been strengthened by the introduction of a School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT) program. Advance has delivered the SBAT program in Certificate II in Parks and Gardens since 2015, and to date, has delivered training to more than 600 trainees Our short courses continue to deliver strong employment outcomes, with Food with a successful completion rate greater than 90%.
