• The associate and the both must be eligible for the Volunteer Grant program – Review eligibility requirements

• An associate is eligible to apply for a Volunteer Grant if: – The associate is a full- or part-time associate located in the United States or Canada – The associate has recorded at least 50 hours of volunteer service in the Community Volunteers portal with one eligible nonprofit organization within a calendar year

• A nonprofit organization is eligible to receive a Volunteer Grant if: – The organization is based in the United States and has been granted a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service AND is not classified as a private or non-exempt private operating foundation and serves communities in the areas of community development, health and human services, and arts and culture

• Click the link for All Bank of America Associates if you are an active associate OR

• Click on the link for Bank of America US retirees if you are an eligible retiree

• Login through Simplified Sign On if you are an active associate or enter your user name/password if a retiree.

• Search for the organization for which you volunteered using keywords and the State, and then click on “Search”

• When you click “Submit”, you will receive a confirmation page • If you recorded volunteer hours that brought your calendar year total for one organization to 50 hours or more, and if you and the organization are eligible for the Volunteer Grant program, you will see a notification that you may now apply for a Volunteer Grant • Click on the name of the organization for which you would like to apply for a Volunteer Grant

• Input the requested information about your volunteer service and click on “Save and Proceed”

• Verify the information on the Volunteer Review page, and then click “Submit”, or click “Make a Change” to edit the information

• Click on “Generate Receipt for Nonprofit Organization” to obtain the documentation which you will need to submit to the organization

• Follow the instructions on the form, which include submitting the form to the organization, which will need to log-in to a specific website and provide the unique Gift ID to verify your volunteer hours • Once the approved organization verifies your volunteer hours, the Volunteer Grant will be approved and paid
