2021 swb railriders 2021 swb railriders triple-a information On February 12, 2021, Major League Baseball announced its new plan for affiliated baseball, with 120 Minor League clubs officially agreeing to join the new Professional Development League (PDL). In total, the new player development system includes 179 teams across 17 leagues in 43 states and four provinces. Including the AZL and GCL, there are 209 teams across 19 leagues in 44 states and four provinces. That includes the 150 teams in the PDL and AZL/GCL along with the four partner leagues: the American Association, Atlantic League, Frontier League and Pioneer League. The long-time Triple-A structure of the International and Pacific Coast Leagues have been replaced by Triple-A East and Triple-A West. Triple-A East consists on 20 teams; all 14 from the International League, plus teams moving from the Pacific Coast League, the Southern League and the independent Atlantic League. Triple-A West is comprised of nine Pacific Coast League teams and one addition from the Atlantic League. These changes were made to help reduce travel and allow Major League teams to have their affiliates, in most cases, within 200 miles of the parent club (or play at their Spring Training facilities). triple-a clubs & affiliates midwest northeast southeast e Columbus (Cleveland Indians) Buffalo (Toronto Blue Jays) Charlotte (Chicago White Sox) Indianapolis (Pittsburgh Pirates) Lehigh Valley (Philadelphia Phillies) Durham (Tampa Bay Rays) a Iowa (Chicago Cubs) Rochester (Washington Nationals) Gwinnett (Atlanta Braves) s Louisville (Cincinnati Reds) Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre (New York Yankees) Jacksonville (Miami Marlins) Omaha (Kansas City Royals) Syracuse (New York Mets) Memphis (St.

“perplexity is the beginning of knowledge…” Kahlil Gibran A Tear and A Smile (1950) STYLIN’! SAMBA JOY VERSUS STRUCTURAL PRECISION THE SOCCER CASE STUDIES OF BRAZIL AND GERMANY Dissertation Presented in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for The Degree Doctor of Philosophy in the Graduate School of The Ohio State University By Susan P. Milby, M.A. * * * * * The Ohio State University 2006 Dissertation Committee: Approved by Professor Melvin Adelman, Adviser Professor William J. Morgan Professor Sarah Fields _______________________________ Adviser College of Education Graduate Program Copyright by Susan P. Milby 2006 ABSTRACT Soccer playing style has not been addressed in detail in the academic literature, as playing style has often been dismissed as the aesthetic element of the game. Brief mention of playing style is considered when discussing national identity and gender. Through a literature research methodology and detailed study of game situations, this dissertation addresses a definitive definition of playing style and details the cultural elements that influence it. A case study analysis of German and Brazilian soccer exemplifies how cultural elements shape, influence, and intersect with playing style. Eight signature elements of playing style are determined: tactics, technique, body image, concept of soccer, values, tradition, ecological and a miscellaneous category. Each of these elements is then extrapolated for Germany and Brazil, setting up a comparative binary. Literature analysis further reinforces this contrasting comparison. Both history of the country and the sport history of the country are necessary determinants when considering style, as style must be historically situated when being discussed in order to avoid stereotypification. Historic time lines of significant German and Brazilian style changes are determined and interpretated.

Public Safety Broadband Network War Game #1 Results Textron Washington, D.C. Office May 23-24, 2012 ©2012 Textron Systems Overview The last remaining recommendation of the 9-11 Commission is the creation of a nationwide, interoperable public safety network. Recent legislation charges the National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA) with a lead role in its creation. NTIA must create a public-private corporate board, the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet), that will ultimately establish the public safety broadband network (PSBN). In an effort to contribute to the development of the PSBN, Textron Systems held a War Game to explore the challenges and opportunities inherent in setting up the FirstNet board, and ultimately deploying PSBN nationwide. Textron conducted the first installation of the War Game on May 23-24 in Washington, D.C. with representatives from government, industry and the user community. The results of that initial War Game is what follows in this presentation. ©2012 Textron Systems 2 Getting it Right Up Front History shows that the effort to get it right up front is worth it. ©2012 Textron Systems 3 Objectives 1. Ensure the First Responder community gets the network they need to help save more lives and use resources more effectively. 2. Characterize the unique challenge in building the FirstNet board. 3. Highlight challenges inherent in designing a plan to deploy a national public safety network. 4. Seek 360 degree perspective of the situation by including representatives from government, industry, and the user community. 5. Create and publish results of War Game exercise to improve the likelihood of success of PSBN.
