DSWD DROMIC Report #4 on the Flooding Incident in Eastern Visayas as of 15 January 2021, 6PM SUMMARY Issued on 10 January 2021, the entire Visayas and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to Tail-end of Frontal System. Source: DSWD-FO VIII I. Status of Affected Families / Persons A total of 31,615 families or 140,265 persons were affected by the flooding incident in 189 Barangays in Eastern Visayas (see Table 1). Status of Displaced Families / Persons Inside Evacuation Center A total of 10 families or 50 persons are currently taking temporary shelter in one (1) evacuation center in Silago, Southern Leyte (see Table 2). Source: DSWD-FO VIII SITUATIONAL REPORT DSWD-DRMB DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN The Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) of 15 January 2021 the DSWD-DRMB is closely coordinating with DSWD-FO VIII for significant reports on the status of affected families, assistance, and relief efforts. DSWD-FO VIII DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN DSWD-FO VIII prepositioned Family Food Packs (FFPs) in Samar Island which can be distributed immediately by the P/C/MATs to Local Government Units that need 15 January 2021 augmentation support. DSWD-FO VIII communicated SWAD Teams and City/Municipal Actions Teams to be alerted on the weather disturbance. Page 2 of 3 | DSWD DROMIC Report #4 on the Flooding Incident in Eastern Visayas as of 15 January 2021, 6PM DSWD-FO VIII activated QRT - FMD, HRMDD, Protective, Administrative, PPD, and DRMD staff who will render duty at DSWD OpCen until the deactivation of Blue/Red Alert status. A total of 401 families or 1,565 persons have preemptively evacuated in Region VIII ***** The Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) of the DSWD-DRMB is closely coordinating with DSWD-FO VIII for any significant disaster response updates.
