Executive Council Chambers, Victoria On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(a) for the period ending January 22, 1997, if a minister named in Column 2 of the Schedule to order in council 1185/96 is (i) unable through illness to perform the duties of his or her office, (ii) absent from the capital, or (iii) unable by reason of section 9.1 of the Members' Conflict of Interest Act to perform some or all of the duties of his or her office, any other minister named in column 2 of the Schedule to order in council 1185/96, as circumstances require, is appointed acting minister in place of that minister, and

(b) the appointments of acting ministers made by order in council 1185/96 continue to apply.
