However we feel it is now time to downsize and, although we have spent considerably time and effort getting the plans passed for the redevelopment of the barn and yard, we feel it would probably be appropriate to pass this on to a new owner. The property is very conveniently located as it is only just over a mile to Eythorne with a good primary school, heritage railway, village shop and local pub while there is a mainline station at nearby Shepherdswell. Step inside Guilford House There are numerous options available if you are interested in Guilford House. The house itself is a large detached family home originally built about 40 years ago by the owner. It is accessed via double wrought iron gates and a long driveway past an enormous barn and a very large farmyard with numerous outbuildings that all form part of the overall property. However there is planning permission to convert this into three terrace houses but still leave sufficient room for a fourth property if required, subject to future permissions being granted. Planning permission has also been granted for the erection of three large barns in the yard. However the owners are quite flexible as to how the sale is apportioned willing to sell barn and a portion of the yard separately or alternatively they would be prepared to sell the entire property with the ongoing development available for new owners so there are a number of options that could be considered.
