Our trip to and was truly an unforgettable experience! We had a great time exploring different cultures, eating different foods, and of course admiring famous works. In Rome we toured the famous Roman Forum, walked through the ancient ruins of the Colosseum, and even visited Vatican City! In Paris our highlights included the world-famous , where we came across masterpieces like the , the de Milo, Liberty Leading the People, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. This experience truly helped me understand that the world is huge and that there is so much out there to see and appreciate.

My 2015 journey to Rome-Paris was everything and a great deal more than I ever expected. I was excited to take the trip with experienced guides (Prof. Piazza and Prof. Whitaker) and a small group of fellow students. It has always been my dream to see the wonders of the world up close. I must say that walking off the subway and seeing the Coliseum blew me away. I had no expectations except what I've seen in photographs so needless to say it was awesome. Prof. Piazza's knowledge of enhanced the trip beyond my imagination. When the Eiffel tower started to come into view as we traveled around Paris I really had to work hard to contain the excitement I felt realizing I had traveled across the ocean and would shortly stand beneath this awe inspiring structure.

The 2015 study abroad program to Paris and Rome was an experience I’ll never forget. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I’m so glad I took the chance to do it! Truly submersed within the culture around us, it was amazing to see the antiquity right before our eyes! Professor Piazza and Whitaker were so hands on and made it such a great experience for the whole group. I highly recommend Daytona State Study Abroad Program. Needless to say I will continue to travel with them for years to come. Kelcie Knapp

“As I got to see these places, I realized that seeing them in books is not comparable to seeing them from my eyes; the magnitude and beauty is something that was absent from just pictures.”
