As a Bible student, electrical engineer, systems engineer, science and math teacher, and Baptist Pastor, the compilation has been going on since I first accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour in my childhood. The information it contains has been bursting inside me for years and the act of writing it out has refined the detail and emboldened the message. That refining may not be completely evident in the writing, but any that is owes a special thanks to the Auburn Christians Writers Group that has spent three years critiquing and rebuffing my writing style. That detail has been meticulously critiqued by Bill Brown of thee Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship, to whom I am greatly indebted. The drive to write it down is credited to my father Levi Owen Rice, who instilled in me the desire to learn more. The whole process has been patiently driven, typed, and tolerated by my wife of 47 years, Beverly E. Rice. This work is never complete, but such as it is, to God be the glory. ABSTRACT God's inerrant, infallible, verbally inspired word clearly depicts his six-day creation account, his account of his world flood wherein waters prevailed on the whole Earth for a hundred and fifty days1, his purposes for man, who God made in his image and likeness, and the redeeming role of his only begotten Son in that purpose. A believer's faith in that declaration need not be a blind faith. In the past few decades it has been discovered that 1) the black-hole swallows mass, space, and time back into the nothing that they were created from, 2) trapped between Earth's crust and core, under great pressure and temperature, is three-fourths of all the world's water, and 3) the continental glacier which covered much of America dissipated less than 6,000 years ago. True science, exploring and using Albert Einstein's theories of relativity, can embed these truths into a believers defense of his faith, and put the atheistic evolutionist to shame. This dissertation explores black-holes, algebra's multi-dimensions, relativity, and the glacier that formed the NYS Finger Lakes, to assemble some tools which ratify God's exacting account of his creation of the universe and flooding of our planet. 1 The Holy Bible, Genesis 7:24 God's Glory, God's Handiwork, and God's Word - The Genesis Account God's Glory, God's Handiwork, and God's Word, The Genesis Account PROLOGUE The Nineteenth Psalm «To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.» The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

    THE ULTIMATE ENIGMA by Avram Yehoshua The Seed of Abraham One day the Sadducees confronted the Lord Yeshua (the Hebrew name for Jesus) with what they must have thought was surely the ultimate enigma. The Sadducees only believed in the first five books of Moses (i.e. Genesis through Deuteronomy), and so, not finding any passages about a resurrection they didn’t believe in it.1 They didn’t believe anything after Deuteronomy was authoritative and inspired by God, and so even though there are passages in the Prophets and the Psalms, etc., that clearly speak of a resurrection from the dead,2 these didn’t affect their belief. The Sadducees knew that Yeshua taught of the resurrection,3 and so their ‘question’ to Yeshua was de- signed to entrap Him and show the Jewish people that He really wasn’t the Messiah of Israel. They spoke of a woman who had seven husbands and outlived them all. She hadn’t had any children by any of them, and so none of them had any greater claim to being her husband ‘in the resurrection’ than any other, ex- cept for possibly the first being the first. They must have tauntingly asked Yeshua, ‘Whose wife will she be in the resurrection?!’ His answer both shocked and amazed them, and everyone else in the Temple that day: “Yeshua said to them, ‘You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels of God in Heaven.

This work grew out of over 35 years of both preaching through Philippians in three pastorates in Maryland, Delaware and North Carolina as well as teaching through the epistle as an instructor at Maryland Baptist Bible College in Elkton, Maryland. I needed my own notes and outlines as I taught and preached from this book, so this fuller commentary flows from those notes and outlines. Thus, the layout of this commentary is a practical one, written by a preacher to be preached from in the pulpit or to be taught in a Sunday School. It was not written from an isolated study of a theologian who had little contact with people or practical ministerial experience. There are many such commentaries on the market and they tend to be someone dull and not very practical in their application. This commentary cannot be easily classified into any single theological system. I believe that no single theological system is an accurate presentation of Scriptural truth in and of itself.
