2015-16 is Zackarias Skog’s first season in the USHL with the Omaha Lancers. Prior to joining Omaha, the Billdal, Sweden native spent a number of years with the Borås youth program. Skog first learned of the USHL during the 2013 , while the attended – he had a 2.00 GAA and .933 SV% in the tournament. This season, in 16 appearances, Skog sports a 2.58 GAA and a .915 SV%. He stands 6’5” tall and weighs in at 191 pounds. Skog took over the majority of Omaha’s netmiding duties in the month of December while prospect Kris Oldham participated in the on the U.S. Select Team. 2015-16 marks Justin Wells’ first full season in the USHL, as he played just two games for the Sioux Falls Stampede during the 2014-15 season. Prior to his time in Sioux Falls, Wells spent five seasons with the Cleveland Barons program, including a stint as an alternate captain for the Barons U16 team in 2014-15 when he put up 21 points in 32 games. Jake Ryczek is in year number two in the USHL, both of which have been spent in Sioux City with the Musketeers. A native of Ludlow, MA, the 5’10”, 180-pound Ryczek played for Selects Hockey Academy, where he scored 17 points in 26 games during the 2013-14 season. Ryczek and the Selects Academy were 2014 USPHL Champions. In the 2014-15 campaign, his first in the league, Ryczek scored 18 points in 55 games. Jackson Keane, a left-handed duel-citizen center for the Sioux City Musketeers, is in his first USHL season. Keane was a member of the Winnipeg Blues youth program from 2010-15 before joining the Musketeers. The Winnipeg, MB native is listed as a C-rated skater on the NHL Central Scouting Preliminary List. He has 10 points in 30 games this season. Keane’s father is Mike Keane, a longtime NHL veteran and 3-time Stanley Cup Champion with the (1993), Colorado Avalanche (1996), and Dallas Stars (1999). Mitch Eliot, a Grosse Pointe, MI native, is a right-handed defenseman for the Muskegon Lumberjacks. Before joining the USHL for the 2014-15 season, Eliot was a member of the prestigious Honeybaked program, playing for their Bantam Minor, Bantam Major, U16, and U18 programs. He tallied four points in 58 games in his first year with Muskegon. The 6-foot, 190-pound Eliot was named to both the 2015 U.S. Under-18 Select Team for the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and 2015 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game. This September, he was rated a ‘C’ skater by NHL Central Scouting. His father, Daren Eliot, is a former NHL goaltender and a current television analyst for the Detroit Red Wings. Luke McInnis may only be in his first season in the USHL, but he has been quite the accomplished player since joining the league. After a year with both Dexter School and the Cape Cod Whalers U18 program, McInnis joined the Phantoms for the 2015-16 season. He was named to the 2015 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game, a game in which he received Valuable Player honors after scoring the game-winning goal in addition to an assist. McInnis also received USHL Defenseman of the Week honors on October 5th. A Hingham, MA native, McInnis is rated as a ‘C’ skater according to NHL Central Scouting. The left-handed defenseman was a 2014 USHL Phase I Draft pick of the Youngstown Phantoms in the 3rd round, 38th overall.

This season marks his first full campaign in the league, as he began the year with Chicago in the Russian JCWC tournament were he picked up two assists in five games. Max Zimmer, a B-rated skater according to NHL Central Scouting, is in his rookie season with the Chicago Steel. Before graduating to the USHL, Zimmer was a member of Wayzata High, located just outside his hometown of Medina, MN. Over the course of three seasons at Wayzata, Zimmer put up impressive numbers, scoring 81 points in 73 games. This season, Zimmer is ninth in rookie scoring and was named to the World Junior A Challenge U.S. Select Team and led the team with five goals and eight points. Those five goals led the tournament and his eight points were second in the WJAC. A first-year USHL netminder, Ruzicka, 18, is a native of Mlada Boleslav in the , the same hometown as forward Radim Vrbata. Growing up about 30 miles northeast of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, Ruzicka stayed his hometown and competed for BK Mlada Boleslav at various junior levels from 2010-15 before being selected as a Phase II, 3rdround selection by Des Moines in the 2015 USHL Entry Draft.
