Szakmai Beszámoló Xi SZAKMAI BESZÁMOLÓ XI. Harmonia Cordis Nemzetközi Gitárfesztivál Marosvásárhely – Románia 2016. augusztus 10–15. 2016. augusztus 10–15. között Marosvásárhely adott otthont Kelet Európa legnagyobb gitárfeszti- váljának. Az immáron 11. alkalommal megszervezett nemzetközi fesztivál programjai a város a város 7 különböző pontján zajlott: a Kultúrpalotában, a Művészeti Egyetemen, a marosvásárhelyi középkori várban, Zanza Café& Bistroban, J’ai Bistrot-ban, illetve a Weekend szabadidős- és sportközpontban, ahol Ausztrália, Venezuela, Japán, Ausztria, Franciaország, Görögország, Magyarország, Németor- szág, Szerbia es Románia elismert művészeit látthattuk, hallhattuk. A hatnapos rendezvény egyéni előadásokat, különböző kamarazenei koncerteket, fiatal tehetségek bemutatkozását, jazz koncertek, szimfónikus koncerteket, mesterkurzusokat, modern és régi hang- szerek, illetve az AER akusztikus erősítőrendszer kiállítását kínálja. A fesztivál fő meghívottja az ausztrál Tommy Emanuel, aki először koncertezett Romániában. A fellépésére több mint 3000 érdeklődő volt kiváncsi, amint az a csatolt képeken is látható. Tommy Emanuel karrierje során rengeteg figyelemre méltó előadóval játszott együtt, töb- bek között Chet Atkins-szel, Sir George Martin-nal, Air Supply-val és John Denver-rel. 1994-ben a John Farnham Band-be került, azausztráliai John Farnham meghívása révén Stuart Fraser mel- lé a Noiseworks-ből a Concert For Rwanda albumra. 2000-ben Tommy és Phil Sydney-ben a nyá- ri Olimpián záró ünnepséget adtak elő, amelyet a TV-ben az egész világon látni lehetett.[3] Mikor együtt játszottak, néha a két testvér megosztozott egy gitáron, s egyik kezüket szabadon hagyva játszottak. Tommy fellépései az egész világon nagyon nagy népszerűségnek örvendenek és nagyon energetikus, sosem hagyja unatkozni a rajongóit. Néha fellép a turnéin Lizzie Watkins szövegíró és dalszerző. 2008-ban a Guitar Player magazin májusi számában az olvasók szavazatai alapján Emma- nuel lett a „Legjobb Akusztikus Gitáros”. A fesztivál koncerjeire a belépés ingyenes volt! A rendezvény egyik legjelentősebb újítása a Nocturne programok voltak, melyek kellemes időtöl- tést biztosítottak azoknak akik többet igényeltek a megszokott koncerteknél. A sokszínű koncertek mellett a fesztiválon egyéni mesterkurzusok zajlottak, melyeken Románia és Magyarország több városából érkező klasszikusgitár szerelmesei vettek részt. A fesztivál 4. napján Lőrincz György marosvásárhelyi és Dumitriu Constantin hangszerkészítő kiállítására. Ugyanakkor megnézhették az érdeklődők az AER akusztikus erősítőrendszer kiállítását. A mesterkurzusoknak és a bemutatóknak a marosvásárhelyi Művészeti Egyetem biztosított helyszínt. A koncerteket élő adásban közvetítették a www.harmoniacordsi.org/live weboldalon és ennek kö- szönhetően több, mint 35 országból kísérték végig a fesztivált. A fesztivál kulturális oldala mellett az érdeklődők interaktív programokon és csapatmunkában vehettek részt, melyekek célja közelebb hozni az önkéntességet a fiatalokhoz. A fesztivál médiatizálása a Harmonia Cordis Egyesület weboldalán, a www.harmoniacordis.org weboldalon történt, webew és nyomtatott sajtóban, tv-ben és rádióban valósult meg. Terry & Gillie explore how the music evolved to give Rock its unmistakable edge through the introduction of the solid body guitar by Leo Fender in the 50’s and then the invention of pedals and sound effects. They also cover the influence of the major bands such as The Beatles, Cream, Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones & female rock legends such as Janis Joplin, Tina Turner and Dusty Springfield. Students will recognize many of the songs that have survived the test of time and those that have become recent hits again. They will also get a chance to get up for a dance during ‘Nutbush City Limits’ if teachers and space permit.     MR WILLIAM THOMAS (TOMMY) EMMANUEL, AM Citation for the conferral of a Doctor of Arts (honoris causa) Chancellor, it is a privilege to present to you and to this gathering, for the award of Doctor of Arts (honoris causa), Mr William Thomas (“Tommy”) Emmanuel, AM. The University Council has resolved to confer this award on William Thomas (“Tommy”) Emmanuel in recognition of his outstanding musical achievements and contribution to the education of music, and his commitment to rural Australia. Born and raised in the University’s footprint, Tommy Emmanuel is one of Australia’s most respected musicians. With a professional career spanning five decades, Tommy has always maintained a strong connection to rural and regional communities including significant interaction with Indigenous Australians. Tommy received his first guitar at age 4 and by age 6, he was working as a professional musician in the family band (variously named The Emmanuel Quartet, The Midget Surfaries and The Trailblazers). By the age of 10, young Tommy had already played his way across Australia. In the 1970s, Tommy was in high demand as a session player and sideman: he played on recordings for Air Supply, Men at Work and dozens of other popular bands and artists, as well as thousands of commercial jingles and tunes. Some of his most notable appearances were on the Air Supply hit singles “Lost in Love,” “All Out of Love,” “Every Woman in the World,” and “Now and Forever”. Tommy soon became known as one of the best modern guitarists in Australia. In 1985 he joined one of the decade’s biggest Australian rock bands, Dragon, and recorded the platinum-selling album “Dreams of Ordinary Men”.
