ORDER:-
In the reference first read above, the proposal of the PrinCipal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden seeking Central assistance of Rs.771.919 lakhs for Project Tiger Scheme in Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve for the year 2018-2019 under Centrally Sponsored Plan Scheme was forwarded to the Government of India, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change for approval and release of fund.
2. The Government of India, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change in their letter second read above have conveyed its administrative approval for a sum of Rs.623.19 lakhs under Project Tiger Scheme in Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve for the year 2018-2019 as per the details given in the annexure to this order. An amount of Rs.331.58 lakhs being the recurring cost of the Scheme which will be shared on 50 : 50 basis by Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu and a sum of Rs.291.61 lakhs as grant-in-aid by the Government of India, out of which, Government of India's share of Rs.174.96 lakhs and remaining amount of Rs.116.65 lakhs as State Government share being the Non-recurring cost of the scheme which will be shared on 60:40 basis by Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu.
3. The Government of India have now released RS.272.6 lakhs (Rs.268.982 lakhs + RS.3.618 lakhs unspent amount of previous year) as 1st installment for the scheme "Project Tiger" in Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve during the year 2018-19, subject to the terms and conditions specified in its letter second read above. ..2 ..
4. The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden has requested the Government to sanction and release entire first instalment amount of Rs.498.552 lakhs to carry out the works under Project Tiger Scheme in Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve during the year 2018-19.
5. The Government after careful consideration accord administrative approval for a sum of RS.623.19 lakhs (Rupees six crore twenty three lakhs and nineteen thousand only) to meet the expenditure for implementation of Project Tiger Scheme in Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve during 2018-2019 as detailed in the annexure to this order. Further the Government release a sum of Rs.498.552 lakhs (Rupees Four crore ninety eight lakhs fifty five thousand and two hundred only) as first installment for the above scheme as detailed below:- (Rs. in lakhs)
