Set within 250 acres of delightful rolling Worcestershire countryside, Little Lakes offers both new and used Holiday Homes, with prices to suit all pockets. They can be set in a wooded or open-plan garden of your choice. Wherever you choose, you will be surrounded by a great diver- sity of wildlife - from deer on the Golf Course to Buzzards over-head, to bluebells by the brook. With all the facilities the Park has to offer, it would be easy to overlook the attractions available lo- cally, but this would be a mistake! Established over fifty years ago, Little Lakes Holiday Park is a family run business professionally operated for the benefit and enjoyment of the Park Members. Listed below are some of the facilities that make Little Lakes such a fan- tastic place for you and your family’s enjoyment. We believe that no other site offers more: With so much to do and enjoy at Little Lakes you may not want to ven- ture very far from your holiday home, but for those who do, the surround- ing area has a multitude of “great days out” and places to explore all within a few miles including the West Midlands Safari Park (6.5 miles) and the Severn Valley Railway (3.8 miles). The picturesque market towns of Bewdley, Bridgnorth and Worcester are just a short drive away. You have the option of selling your caravan back to Little Lakes or to anyone else off park. Lakes • Are there any age restrictions to being on Little Lakes? No. We are proud of the “village” atmosphere and welcome grandparents, parents and children. • Can I bring my dog/cat or other Pets? Yes. Pets are very welcome, together with good owners, as staying in a Holiday Home with your pets is an ideal way of avoiding the use of catteries and kennels. • Can I have decking installed on my Chalet or Caravan? Yes. In most cases you will be able to arrange for decking to be installed, although the plans must be approved by the Park to ensure they meet Park rules and Fire Regulations. • Can I stay in my Caravan or Chalet in the closed month? No. Whilst the Licence issued by the local Council means that you cannot stay in your holiday prop- erty, you may make short visits from time to time to check that everything is OK. • Can I sub-let my holiday home? No. Sub-letting on the Park is STRICTLY forbidden. We believe that this maintains the Park’s sense of security and community. • Can my family and friends visit? Yes. You have up to 8 visitors’ passes (4 adult, 4 children) which you retain and use as many times as required. • Can my family use my holiday home if I’m in Tenerife for a few weeks? Yes. Providing you are happy to let a family member or friend have access to your holiday home we are fine with that, although we do ask that they have a visitors pass. • Do you only sell new Holiday Caravans? No. We usually have a range of second hand caravans available. Although we cannot predict what we will have, you may give us your requirements (budget/number of beds etc.) and then we can contact you prior to a suitable property going live on our website. • How long is the park open each year? We are open for 11 months of the year, closed for the month of January, although our Park Office is open all year round. • How long can a Holiday Home remain on the Park? New Caravans have a lifespan on park of 20 years, single Lodges 25 years and double Lodges 35 years • I can’t quite afford the holiday home of my dreams, can I get finance? Yes. The Park has been owned and operated by the Fernihough Family for three generations since 1961, and we are committed to maintaining the quality of the Park and investing in improvements in the future. • What else do I pay on top of the window price to site the caravan? Nothing. The siting and connection to sewage, water, gas and electricity of new caravans is in- cluded in the window sticker price. • What else do we pay when we have paid for our holiday home? The annual site fee….payable by 31st March each year. • What information do I need to supply Little Lakes with to become a park member? Everyone buying a holiday home here at Little Lakes needs to supply us with A) Application form (We supply the form) B) Reference forms (We supply the form) C) A form of Personal ID D) forms of Residential ID for your main residential address • Where are the nearest visitor attractions? The Safari Park and Severn Valley Railway together with the nearby towns of Bewdley and Kidder- minster are just a few miles away. Details of numerous attractions can be found on our web site. • Where do I park my car(s)? Cars can be parked next to the Holiday property. All have at least one parking space, most plots have two parking spaces, some more. • Where is the nearest pub/restaurant/shop? There is an on park clubhouse with members bar, family room and an entertainments / function room and restaurant. The park also has a well-stocked general store. • Who do I contact if I have a problem whilst on park? Our reception is open 7 days a week; Monday to Friday 9.00am until 4.45pm; Saturday & Sunday 10.00am until 3.45pm. Outside of these hours we have an on-site Duty Warden. 6 Site Fees For the Year Type!! ! !     Malvern Hills (83) Ultra Road Map Start to CP1 (6.4 miles) Exit Holt Castle and bear left in front of the church. At 0.1 mile continue ahead through gate and uphill signposted Severn Way. At 0.26 miles through gate and straight on towards and through Caravan Sales Area signposted Severn Way. Follow S/W signs through gates and downhill to track at 0.62 miles where you turn right and immediate left. 0.9 miles reach tree line and go left over a style and then immediate right through the woods. TAKE CARE over small wooden bridge. At 1.0 miles, follow the Public Footpath through the sand & gravel area and at 1.1 miles use metal stairs to go over the conveyor and head for Church straight ahead. Enter Churchyard through gate, across and down on the road, bear left with Wagon Wheel pub on right. Follow road as it goes behind the pub. 1.6 miles bear right along the Severn Way. 2.7 miles reach Bevere Lock, continue on the Severn Way 2.9 miles reach the Camp Pub OS835592; go through and around beer garden and back onto the river path Severn Way 5.9 miles turn left over Main Worcester Bridge. The Severn Way is now on the opposite side of the river so you need to cross over at this point and then continue along the river. TAKE CARE TRAFFIC. 6.4 miles – You have reached CP1 (Diglis Hotel OS849542) Closes 8.30am Navigation Difficulty Rating: Low, generally follow river footpath Course Type: Flat, if wet it could be rather muddy CP1 to CP2 (9.58 miles) Continue along river path, 0.5 miles go around dock area and continue on path.

    The Ribbesford Circular Walk Track 1 Welcome to the Ribbesford Circular audio trail. This is one of a series of audio trails delivered by Worcestershire County Council Countryside Service. You will hear some short instructional tracks giving the directions of the walk, along with some longer tracks interpreting what you can see along the way. You can either listen while you walk or stop to listen at the start of each new track. Whilst on the walk please be sure to close any gates you have opened behind you and keep any dogs under close control. This 2 mile route will take you on a leisurely stroll through this delightful part of Worcestershire. Depending upon your speed of walking it could take between one and two hours. This particular walk is way marked with a willow tree logo. To commence the walk, you need to be standing on the riverside path in the bottom corner of the Gardeners Meadow car park. (If you are starting at Blackstone Riverside Park, go straight to Track 2). Turning your back on the town, head down the riverside path in a downstream direction, passing through the two large red brick pillars of the flood defences and with Bewdley Cricket Club on your right hand side. Whilst you walk along the riverside path, look out on the right for the impressive sandstone outcrops which are typical of the underlying geology of this area. Depending upon the time of year you may see a variety of wildlife as you progress along the riverside path, from the ducks and swans who reside there all year round, to summer sightings such as sand martins and dragonflies.

It has 85 members with over 350 on email circulation. Efforts to discover, conserve and spread the knowledge of geology are focussed on the valley of the River Teme where rocks date from +-700 million years ago to the present day. In Martley parish alone, 7 geological periods are represented, there are over 30 documented sites, some with accompanying interpretation boards, being accessed by several trails with excellent guides.     Environmental Character Area Profile for the Minerals Local Plan: 1. Teme Valley and Wyre Forest 1. Introduction 1.1. Minerals development usually takes place on previously undeveloped land and can therefore result in permanent change to the natural environment and green spaces in Worcestershire. The impacts of both the working and the restoration of mineral sites need to be considered in detail in the development of the Worcestershire Minerals Local Plan (the MLP). 1.2. The Council will take a 'green infrastructure' (GI) approach to considering these impacts. The GI approach is a different way of thinking about the green spaces in Worcestershire. It moves beyond solely considering the environmental benefits of green spaces and integrates the consideration of economic, health and social benefits in the planning and management of green spaces. Rather than considering each green space in isolation it looks at the ways in which individual sites and corridors of green space collectively form the distinctive character of Worcestershire that attracts both visitors and business to the County. 1.3. The components of GI include biodiversity, landscape, historic environment, access and recreation and water (also know as blue infrastructure). The GI approach requires thinking about the environment as an integrated system of stepping stones or nodes in a wider network1. Green infrastructure and mineral workings and restoration 1.4. There is significant potential for mineral workings to destroy existing networks of green infrastructure if the nature and character of these networks is not taken into account. However there is also significant potential to contribute positively to green infrastructure through the restoration of mineral workings.
