With projects like the Divine Lorraine, the Metropolitan Opera House and the Beury Building, the community has a nervous excitement about this revitalization and the type of opportunities it could mean for their business, homes and families all along North Broad. The 2017 State of North Broad report provides an in-depth look at the changing landscape of North Broad Street and adjacent areas. From new to proposed development to quality of life, this reports aims to keep stakeholders connected and informed about this corridor, and what its revitalization means to them. Overall, you will see that North Broad is experiencing various highs and lows. You’ll see slight increases in statistics like population growth and income, yet the area still struggles with high unemployment and low educational attainment. Overall, our job at the North Broad Renaissance (NBR) is to take this information and data, determine how we can support the positive and mitigate the negative, and work towards inclusive growth than could positively impact the entire North Broad community – including our most vulnerable population.

    Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority FISCAL YEAR 2021 OPERATING BUDGET Fiscal Year 2022-2026 • Financial Projections Essential Service Provider to the Region Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) presented a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award to Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, Pennsylvania, for its Annual Budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019. In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as a financial plan, as an operations guide, and as a communications device. This award is valid for a period of one year only. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2014 with multiple All-American honors and shortly after graduating enlisted in the U.S. Army, later joining the World Class Athlete Program (WCAP). While with WCAP, Kipchirchir placed 16th in the 10,000 meters at the 2015 IAAF World Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Beijing and placed 19th in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games as a member of Team USA. Additionally, he won his first U.S. national title at the 2017 Medtronic TC 10 Mile, which featured a photo-finish with Sara Hall as they battled for the equalizer bonus. In 2018, Kipchirchir placed 8th in the 3,000 meters at the IAAF World Indoor Championships, 14th in the Prefontaine Classic two mile and he also won the Charleston Cooper River Bridge Run. Working together, we can create cleaner and safer streets, improve greenspace, and connect communities to resources and each other. These efforts can serve as the foundation for successful economic development and generate sustainable employment opportunities for families in North Philadelphia and beyond. The opportunity is right along one of Philadelphia’s most prominent corridors – North Broad Street! You’ve heard it before: North Broad Street was once considered the "Workshop of the World," with amazing infrastructures, businesses, arts and culture and a thriving community. Today, the corridor has its share of challenges, including more than 4,800 crimes that took place along North Broad Street in 2015, a 14.3% vacancy rate, and a large population living in poverty. However, with the completion our 2020 Vision – the community-driven strategic plan for the NBR – we are on the road to re-establish North Broad Street as the huge economic driver it can become, and revitalize communities, culture and commerce.
