In two starts last week, Phillips tossed 14 2/3 innings with only one earned run allowed, one Inland Empire 24-33 .421 9.0 walk and 15 strikeouts (2-0 record). Phillips twirled a one-hit shutout last Sunday against Inland Empire, retiring 27 of 28 batters faced in the outing.
