School election officially slated for May 10 UTNUMBERED NASHVILLE - Howard County election commissioners voted Monday to approve a May 10 school election, offi cially moving the date from its orig- inally scheduled time in September. At issue is whether voters will allow the school to extend its present millage rate in order to generate roughly $10 million in construction funds for pro- posed rennovation projects and a new Walter Dean, Braden Bowman, Isaiah Motta, Pace Hill, Caleb Webb, and Jamal Snell provide the beat to ‘Outnumbered,’ a gymnasium. program the NHS drumline performed at a competition in Arlington, Texas, set to the themes of popular zombie movies. Bissell Chapel Cemetery needs donations The Bissell Chapel Cemetery Board is in the process of raising money to purchase two additional acres of land. The much-needed land will be located directly behind the existing cemeter. This land will be paid for strictly by donations. If you are interested in donating, you may do so at any First National Bank. A savings account has been opened for the purpose of acquiring and developing the land. This account is separate from the regular mowing and maintenance account. When making your donation, please be sure to reference which account you would like your money deposited into. All donations will be greatly ap- preciated, regardless of size. If you prefer to give your donation to a board member or to Phyllis Parson, it will be deposited for you. The Board would like to thank all who made donations to the mowing & maintenance fund in the past. Just as years gone by, the cemetery will continue to accept donations for this purpose. Recently, the cemetery proudly accepted donations from donors in memory of loved family members who are buried at Bissell Chapel. If you would like your donation to be recognized in this way, please make note on your check, or contact any board member with the information. We will be happy to do this. Bissell Chapel Cemetery board members are Vernon Pinkerton, Glen House, Elton ‘Bud’ Shaw, Debbie Frias, Belinda McQuary, and Dennis Tollett.
