The Neighbourhood Food Collection is a partnership between Tesco, FareShare, and the Trussell Trust. They’re looking for volunteers to join their fantastic food drive team to help fight hunger in the UK, especially in the lead up to Christmas. They need volunteers to help them collect food donations from customers for a few hours. The food collection takes place at supermarkets across the UK on 30th November, 1st December and 2nd December. Fareshare need more volunteers over the Christmas period to help in the warehouse. Ideally volunteers volunteer once a week but as fairly busy in run up to Christmas can be flexible. There are lots of ways you can make a difference , from organising an activity on Christmas Day, to writing and sending an extra Christmas card.
