College Football – Saisonvorschau College Football – Saisonvorschau #8 Stanford Cardinal (1029 Punkte) Stanford hat in den letzten vier Jahren dreimal den Titel in der Pac 12 geholt. Auch in dieser Saison wird man trotz eines personellen Aderlasses wieder mitspielen um die Krone, auch wenn es zu ganz großen Sprüngen nicht reichen wird. Mit RB Christian McCaffrey hat man einen überragenden Heisman Trophy Kandidaten in den eigenen Reihen. #9 Tennessee Volunteers (1021 Punkte) HC Butch Jones hat Tennessee aus der Versenkung wieder ins Licht geführt. Im Grellen Scheinerferlicht ist man in dieser Spielzeit angekommen. 18 Starter aus der Vorsaison sind wieder an Bord, eingeschlossen QB Joshua Dobbs. Man kann den Volunteers sogar zutrauen, dass sie das große Alabama herausfordern im Kampf um die SEC. #10Notre Dame Fighting Irish (1006 Punkte) Vielleicht die traditionreichste Football-Universität in den USA. Die Mannschaft von HC Brian Kelly hat ein sehr angenehmes Spielprogramm und kann locker in die zweistelligen Siegzahlen vorstoßen. Darüberhinaus hat man den Luxus zwei gestandene Quarterbacks im Kader zu haben. Eine Verbesserung zum Vorjahr (10-3) ist das Ziel. #11 Mississippi Rebels (718 Punkte) Die Rebels haben drei Spieler verloren, die in der NFL in der ersten Runde gedrafted wurden. Aber man hat auch hier seine Hausaufgaben gemacht und gut rekrutiert. QB Chad Kelly ist der beste seiner Zunft in der SEC und er hat zahlreiche Waffen auf den Receiverpositionen zur Verfügung. Hält die Defensive stand? Für eine Top 10-Platzierung wird es nicht reichen. #12 Michigan State Spartans (710 Punkte) Michigan State hat in den letzten Jahren immer mindestens 11 Spiele gewonnen, aberiesmal scheint dies ein enorm schweres Unterfangen. Man hat sehr gute Spieler abgegeben und richtet sich an der Hoffnung auf, dass HC Mark Dantonio schon wieder eine schlagkräftige Truppe basteln wird. Die verhassten Wolverines dürften in dieser Saison vorbeiziehen. #13 TCU Horned Frogs (707 Punkte) Die Horned Frogs sind Außenseiter in der Big 12, aber nicht so ganz chancenlos. Man hat nur einen Starter der Offensive wieder mit dabei, das wird schwer zu kompensieren sein. Die Defensive dagegen ist vollgepackt mit Talenten und wird die Mannschaft in allen Spielen lange halten und stützen. Der Aderlass in der Offensive ist zu groß, um ganz vorne mitspielen zu können. #14 Washington Huskies (651 Punkte) Im dritten Jahr von HC Chris Petersen wollen die Huskies den Durchbruch schaffen. Die Defensive war in der Vorsaison schon top und hat acht Starter wieder mit dabei. QB Jake Browning gehört zu den Top-QBs in der Pac 12. Um den Divisionstitel kann man vieleicht mitspielen, mehr ist noch nicht möglich. #15 Houston Cougars (644 Punkte) HC Tom Herman übernimmt das Programm in Houston und wird einige Dinge verändern. Dennoch wird man eine erfolgreiche Mannschaft sehen, die in einer schwächeren Division spielt. Das sollte sich sehr gut auf die Bilanz der Cougars auswirken, aber kann man überzeugend genug sein für die Top 10? #16 UCLA Bruins (496 Punkte) Die Bruins haben den besten Quarterback der Pac 12 in Josh Rosen und dazu ein weniger brutales Spielprogramm als in der Vorsaison. In der Defensive finden sich wieder acht Starter der letzten Runde, so dass man von grundsolider Verteidigungsarbeit ausgehen kann. Auf mehreren Positionen noch Fragezeichen. Daher eher kein Divisionstitel für UCLA. #17 Iowa Hawkeyes (484 Punkte) Die Hawkeyes waren 2015 eine Überraschungsmannschaft und sind nun die überragenden Favoriten die Big 10 West zu gewinnen. QB CJ Beathard ist die größte Waffe in der Offensive, während in der Defensive wieder 8 Starter der Vorsaison an den Start gehen. Gegenüber der Ost-Abteilung der Big 10 scheint man aber doch im Hintertreffen. Weiter >>>.
