Uno de los métodos que se utilizan en la datación de este tipo de cadá- veres es el estudio de los insectos asociados al cuerpo, así, como su tiempo de actividad en el cadáver. Los problemas que surgen a la hora de realizar el estudio de las eviden- cias entomológicas nos ponen de manifiesto la necesidad de que la recogi- da de los datos necesarios para dicho estudio se lleve a cabo de una forma rigurosa y protocolizada. Abstract: Estimating the time of death in decomposed corpses is still one of the most complex problems to be solved by a forensic pathologist. Although there are many works on this subject, the number of factors affecting the decomposition of a body is so significant that it is impossible the knowledge and control of them all.One of the methods used to date such bodies is the study of insects associated to the corpse, as well as its developing time on the body. INTRODUCCIÓN La datación de la muerte es el conjunto de observaciones y técnicas que permiten señalar dos momentos entre los que con mayor probabilidad se ha producido la muerte. Salvo la observación directa, no existen en la ac- tualidad métodos que aislados o en conjunto permitan establecer con cer- teza y exactitud dicho momento (Verdú, 2003-2004). La estimación de la data de la muerte, sigue siendo uno de los temas más complejos de la medicina legal, y los métodos utilizados para su estima- ción van a depender del tipo de cadáver que tengamos en estudio. En los cadáveres recientes, en los cuales no se aprecia ningún signo de putrefacción, la data puede ser estimada por la observación de la evolución de fenómenos cadavéricos tales como: Enfriamiento del cadáver: en términos generales, el enfriamiento cadavéri- co transcurre de forma gradual, disminuyendo la temperatura de modo progresivo hasta igualarse con el medio ambiente; comienza aproximada- mente hacia las dos horas del fallecimiento, igualándose a la temperatura ambiente entre las 10-12 horas después de la muerte. La curva de disper- sión térmica menciona un primer periodo de tres o cuatro horas, donde la temperatura disminuye medio grado por hora. El segundo periodo se pre- senta entre las 6 a las 10 horas donde disminuye un grado centígrado por hora. Durante el tercer periodo disminuye de tres cuartos a medio grado centígrado por hora hasta nivelarse con la temperatura ambiente. Este en- friamiento cadavérico se encuentra condicionado por diversos factores como: la causa de la muerte,

Relationships of human trampling and litter removal with physicochemical properties and arthropod diversity of forest soils were studied in a secondary hardwood forest in northern Taiwan. In 4 sampling sessions, 360 soil cores were extracted from 24 randomly chosen replicate plots, representing soil samples from (1) densely vegetated areas, (2) bare trails as a result of non-mechanical trampling, and (3) ground underneath nylon-mesh litter traps set up on trails. We collected 7 classes and at least 17 orders of arthropods, with an estimated mean density of 13,982 ind./m2. The Collembola and Acari were the most common groups. The former dominated in abundance, comprising 8 families (2.5 ± 0.1 per core), followed by the Acari (e.g., oribatids) with at least 37 families (2.2 ± 0.1 per core). The density and number of taxa of arthropod overall, as well as the density and number of families of springtails and oribatids in particular, were highest in soil samples from vegetated areas.

The first certain record of Bolitochara tecta ASSING, 2014 in Poland is reported. The first study of the Coleoptera of Babia Góra was by ROTTENBERG th (1868), which included data on 102 species. During the 19 century, INTERESTING BEETLES (COLEOPTERA) IN THE BABIA GÓRA NP 213 several other papers including data on beetles from Babia Góra were published: 37 species were recorded from the area by KIESENWETTER (1869), a single species by NOWICKI (1870) and 47 by KOTULA (1873).

One female and one male specimen of the Dinychus bincheaecarinatus Hirschmann, Wagrowska- Adamczyk & Zirngiebl-Nicol, 1984 were collected for the first time in Romania. A new re-description of this species is given accompanied with first description of the legs. Notes on the differences between D. binchaeacarinatus Hirschmann, Wagrowska-Adamczyk & Zirngiebl-Nicol, 1984 and D. carinatus Berlese, 1903 are presented. Other new occurrences of the Romanian dinychid species are given with a list and a key to the Romanian species of the genus Dinychus. Key words: Acari, Dinychidae, new records, new key, Romania. Entomol. 86(2): 494-504 (1993) ABSTRACT Pitfall traps were used to monitor the seasonal activity of arthropod preda­ tors, parasitoids, and decomposers in replicated plots of centipedegrass turf for 3 yr (1989-1991) at two locations. During 1990 and 1991, the influence of single or combined herbicide, insecticide, and fertilizer applications on these beneficials was assessed. In total, 21 species of carabids in 13 genera and 17 species of staphylinids in 14 genera were represented in pitfall-trap collections. Nonsminthurid collembolans, ants, spiders, and parasitic Hymenoptera were adversely affected in the short term by insecticide applica­ tions targeting the twolined spittlebug, Prosapia bicincta (Say). Other taxa, notably orib­ atid Acari, increased over time in response to pesticide or fertilizer applications. Although various taxa were reduced by pesticide application during three of four sample intervals, a lack ofoverall differences in season totals suggests that the disruptive influence ofcertain chemical management practices may be less severe than expected in the landscape. The corpse was found in a mixed deciduous forest of Biscay (northern Spain). Soil fauna was extracted by sieving the soil where the corpse lay and placing the remains in Berlese–Tullgren funnels. Necrophagous fauna on the human remains was dominated by the fly Piophilidae: Stearibia nigriceps (Meigen, 1826), mites Ascidae: Proctolaelaps epuraeae (Hirschmann, 1963), Laelapidae: Hypoaspis (Gaeolaelaps) aculeifer (Canestrini, 1884), and the beetle Cleridae: Necrobia rufipes (de Geer, 1775). We confirm the importance of edaphic fauna, especially if the deceased is discovered in natural environs. Related fauna may remain for days after corpse removal and reveal infor- mation related to the circumstances of death. Consequently, their close association with cadavers has led some researchers to intermittently advocate for the inclusion of mites in archaeological site analyses and forensic case studies.
