Nella competizione internazionale più importante della stagione la Campionessa d’Europa Arianna Fontana e i compagni di squadra punteranno alla difficile impresa di conquistare il podio nella classifica generale, obiettivo raggiunto nelle due ultime edizioni con il bronzo della stessa Fontana nel 2011 e nel 2012. Da battere le squadre della Corea e della Cina che, in campo femminile, vincono ininterrottamente dal 1995 e, in campo maschile, dal 1999, con la sola eccezione dello statunitense Apolo Anton Ohno, campione nel 2008. I contenuti sono liberamente riproducibili citando la fonte. www.fisg.it / ufficiostampa@fisg.it Mercoledì 6 marzo 2013/Anno III n° 71 SPEED SKATING SHORT TRACK DANZA ARTISTICO SINCRONIZZATO CURLING STOCK SPORT SHORT TRACK Campionati Mondiali Senior / Debrecen (UNG), 8-10 marzo Dal 1976 ad oggi gli Azzurri ai Campionati Mondiali hanno conquistato nella classifica generale una medaglia d’argento e sette di bronzo: Fra gli uomini, le prime due, entrambe di bronzo, risalgono all’edizione del 1996 a The Hague, in Olanda, con Orazio Fagone e Mirko Vuillermin. Del 1998 a Vienna con Fabio Carta è il miglior risultato Azzurro, sia maschile che femminile, una medaglia d’argento. In campo femminile il primo podio, di bronzo, è ancora nell’edizione olandese del 1996 con Marinella Canclini. Molto più recenti le ultime due medaglie: risalgono infatti al 2011 e 2012 rispettivamente a Sheffield (Gran Bretagna) e Shanghai (Cina), entrambe opera di Arianna Fontana, unica atleta Azzurra a conquistare due medaglie individuali. Il medagliere dei Campionati del Mondo vede, in campo maschile, il predominio della Corea con 15 ori, 10 argenti e 9 bronzi, seguita dal Canada che ha solamente 12 ori ma complessivamente un maggior numero di medaglie, 39 contro le 34 della Corea. Anche fra le donne comanda la Nazionale coreana davanti al Canada: 11 ori, 9 argenti e 9 bronzi contro 10 ori, 11 argenti e altrettanti bronzi. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating consists of seven events. Riga is followed by the events in Mexico City (September 4 to 8), Kosice, Slovakia (September 11 to 15), Gdansk, Poland (September 18 to 22), Minsk, Belarus (September 25 to 29), Ostrava, Czech Republic (October 2 to 6) and Tallinn, Estonia (October 9 to 13). The events in Riga, Kosice, Minsk, Ostrava and Tallinn include Pair Skating. The top six skaters/couples of the series in each category will advance to the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Fukuoka, Japan (December 5 to 8). More than 300 young skaters from over 50 ISU members are expected to compete in this year’s series. Each ISU member is entitled to enter competitors for the series while the number of their entries depends on the result of the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2013.
