Te News Reporter, Monday, March 19, 2012 - Page 1-B Pack falls to North in 10-inning thriller By DAN BISER Sports Editor

It was another thrilling, highly competitive high school baseball game. But it also turned into another disappointing loss for the Whiteville Wolfpack. The visiting North Brunswick Scorpions clawed their way back from an early 4-0 deficit to tie the game at 6-all after seven innings. The North Brunswick squad brought across two runs in the top of the 10th inning to pull out an 8-6 win and hand Whiteville its third loss in four games. WHS Head Coach Brett Harwood indicated that it was another night of his team playing reasonably well, but it just wasn’t enough to gain a win. The loss dropped the Wolfpack’s conference record to 0-2 and season record to 5-4.
