Session #4: Gog and Magog scripture: Ezekiel 38 and 39 Major players The Prince of the land to the north GOG of Israel. Ezekiel 38 lists 10 names to help identify a massive invading force that looks to destroy Israel in The End Times. Major players The land of Gog. Also the second MaGOG grandson of Noah and his descendants. Settled north of the Black Sea (Central Asia) containing many of the former southern Soviet Republics. Ezekiel tells us that Israel will be dwelling in security and peace. This will occur sometime shortly after the Rapture when the Anti-Christ will sign his peace treaty with Israel. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. daniel 11:40-45 He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Cushites in submission. But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many. He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.” (Daniel 11:40-45) Where… will they invade? The invasion will come to the mountains of Israel. Ezekiel 38:8 “After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.” (Ezekiel 38:8) what… is the final outcome? 1. God will cause a great earthquake. Ezekiel 38:19-20 “In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The birds and animals will feed on the dead. 7. God will display His Glory and Power for all people to see. This will undoubtedly cause many to come to Christ during the Tribulation Period. Revelation 7:9-14 “After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’ All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: ‘Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!’ Then one of the elders asked me, ‘These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?’ I answered, ‘Sir, you know.’ And he said, ‘These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.’” (Revelation 7:9-14) It needs to be noted that this is only the first of two major battles during The End Times.
