From Connolly Station: Exit the main entrance on Amiens Street and turn right. Cross Amiens Street and turn left at the junction with Portland Row – there is a Spar on the corner. Continue up Portland Row, crossing Summerhill Parade, on to the North Circular Road. Continue on the North Circular Road until you reach the junction with Russell Street -on the right-hand side on the street as you go up – Gill’s Pub is on the corner. Turn right on to Russell Street - Fighting Words is in the Behan Square development on the left-hand side of the street, with an Italian café, Wallace’s Asti, in the same building. We are under the archway and at the back of the courtyard. You will see Croke Park across the street, further up on the left. Behan Square is next door to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. It is about a 15-minute walk.

From the north side, including Drumcondra Station: Come down Lower Drumcondra Road until you reach the junction with Clonliffe Road (there is a Bank of Ireland on the corner) and turn left. Continue until the junction of Jones’s Road and turn right at the traffic lights – you will see Croke Park in front of you. Continue down Jones’s Road (which changes name to Russell Street) until you see Behan Square on your right, near the junction with the North Circular Road and next door to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Fighting Words is in the Behan Square development. There is an Italian café, Wallace’s Asti, in the same building. We are under the archway and at the back of the courtyard. It’s about a 10–15-minute walk.

From O’Connell Street/City Centre: Walk up O’Connell Street to the corner of Great Denmark Street (the Candy Café is on the corner, opposite the Presbyterian church on the corner of ). Continue down Great Denmark Street (past Belvedere College on your left) until you reach the junction with Mountjoy Square. Cross over onto Mountjoy Square North, keeping the park on your right, until you reach the junction with Fitzgibbon Street at the far end of the square (it is not an exact junction; keep to the right for Fitzgibbon Street).

Continue down Fitzgibbon Street until you reach the junction with the North Circular Road. Cross over the NCR (Gill’s Pub is on the corner) onto Russell Street. Fighting Words is in the Behan Square development on the left-hand side of the street, with an Italian café, Wallace’s Asti, in the same building. We are under the archway and at the back of the courtyard. Behan Square is next door to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. You will see Croke Park across the street, further up on the right. It is about a 10-minute walk.

Bus Routes The best routes are any of the buses that go along Lower Dorset Street/Lower Drumcondra Road. The most frequent are the 11, 13, 16, 33 and 41 – see www.dublinbus.ie for timetables. Get off the bus near the junction Clonliffe Road and follow the directions above from the northside.

Alternatively, the 38, 38A, 38B and 38D as well as the 46A terminate at Parnell Square (follow directions from O’Connell Street) and the 123 stops on Summerhill Parade (follow directions from Connolly Station).

There are also two routes that go to Mountjoy Square, the 7, 7a and the 46E.

LUAS The closest stop is the Parnell stop on the . Head northeast on exiting the tram toward Middle . Turn left on to Middle Gardiner Street, walking uphill, and turn right on to Mountjoy Square South and walk to the corner. Turn left on to Mountjoy Square East and then turn right at the junction of Mountjoy Square East and Fitzgibbon Street onto Fitzgibbon Street.

Parking If you are driving, there is LIMITED free parking on Russell Street/Jones’s Road. There is pay-and-display parking on Russell Street (opposite the centre), on Clonliffe Road and the North Circular Road.
