Unrest grips the galaxy. A glimmer of hope remains in the heroic forces of the Resistance. As they struggle against the dark might of the enemy, these brave scouts may yet learn the skills and strengths they need to move into the future… The Bull Run District Winter Camporee 2017 will revolve around the theme of STAR WARS and will draw from various parts of the STAR WARS universe. All games and activities will in some way reflect this theme. Please embrace the theme wholeheartedly! Keep it in mind when preparing for troop and patrol challenges, the dutch oven dessert cook off, costume contest and campfire program. You are also welcome and encouraged to design gateways, props, signs and decorations that depict the theme. Actual projectiles or edged weapons are prohibited. This leader’s guide contains the information you need to make this Camporee a success for your Troop, Webelos Den, Crew or Ship. Please read this entire guide, it will explain the rules and logistics for this year’s Camporee, and ensure your unit is fully informed prior to arrival. This Camporee is primarily an activity to enhance the Patrol Method within your unit. It is also a chance for your scouts to show off their abilities in a variety of classic scout skills.
