Matchday 30 Serie A TIM 2019-20 4 - 5 July 2020 JUVENTUS vs TORINO Torino have lost 71 games and conceded 228 goals against Juventus in Serie A TIM – more than against any other opponent in the competition. Juventus have lost only one of their last 27 Serie A TIM meetings against Torino, 1-2 in April 2015 (W20 D6). Juventus have conceded only one goal in their last five league games against Torino – previously the Bianconeri had conceded goals against them in six consecutive derbies. Juve’s last home defeat in a derby came back in April 1995 – since then, they’ve won nine and drawn four against Torino on home soil in Serie A TIM. Juve’s aggregate score over their last four Serie A TIM games at home is 11-0. The last time the Bianconeri won five in a row at home without conceding was in March 2018. Juventus are one of only two Serie A TIM sides that remain unbeaten at home in the competition this season, alongside Lazio (W13 D1). Torino have lost their last five away games – their worst run since January 2009 (a run of 7). Only Brescia (1) have picked-up fewer away points that the Granata (3) this season. Juve’s Maurizio Sarri has won seven games against Torino – more than against any other team in his managerial career (D2 L0). Juve’s Gonzalo Higuaín has scored a goal and provided an assist in the two previous derbies he’s played at the Allianz Stadium. Torino striker Simone Zaza scored five goals in his 19 Serie A TIM appearances for Juventus in the 2015/16 season. SASSUOLO vs LECCE The only previous meeting between Sassuolo and Lecce was the 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture earlier this season. Lecce have won four of their last six trips in Emilia Romagna (D1 L1), however they did lose the most recent one (vs Parma back in January), Sassuolo are unbeaten in their last seven games against newly promoted teams (W3 D4). Since the start of 2019, Sassuolo have scored 3+ goals in 10 home games – only Atalanta and Lazio have done so on more occasions during this period. Lecce have conceded on average three goals a game in their last six away matches, finding the net in just one of those games. The last six goals Lecce have conceded in away games have come in the second half. Domenico Berardi has scored six home goals this season, only in 2014/15 has he scored more in such games (10) – however, the Sassuolo striker has found the net just in two of his last eight appearances at the Mapei Stadium. Eight of Sassuolo’s Jeremie Boga’s 10 goals this campaign have been scored at home, including a brace in his last appearance at the Mapei Stadium vs Hellas Verona. Lecce’s Khouma Babacar scored nine goals in his 42 Serie A TIM appearances for Sassuolo between 2018 and 2019. Lecce’s Diego Farias made his Serie A TIM debut in 2013/14 for Sassuolo – he has already scored three goals and made two assists against the Neroverdi in the competition. LAZIO vs MILAN AC Milan have drawn 59 Serie A TIM games against Lazio – more than against any other opponent in the competition (65 wins for the Rossoneri and 29 for the Biancocelesti). Following their 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture, Lazio will be aiming to complete a league double over AC Milan for the first time since 1977/78. The last time Lazio beat AC Milan in the second half of a season came back in January 2015 – since then, they’ve picked-up just two points from four such games against the Rossoneri. Lazio and AC Milan have met 76 times in Rome, with the guests having the better on 21 occasions (19 wins for the hosts and 36 draws). Lazio are unbeaten in their last 16 home games (W12 D4), since losing against Atalanta in May 2019. AC Milan will be aiming to score in 12 consecutive Serie A TIM games for the first time September 2017. AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli was in charge of Lazio for 69 Serie A TIM games between 2014 and 2016 (W32 D15 L22). Lazio will be without Immobile for the first time in a Serie A TIM game this season; with him on the pitch, the Biancocelesti have averaged 2.2 goals per game, whilst without him on the pitch they’ve average 1.5 goals a game. Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto made his Serie A TIM debut in September 2016 versus AC Milan. In August 2016 AC Milan’s Franck Kessié made his Serie A TIM debut, scoring two goals against Lazio, with Atalanta. INTER vs BOLOGNA Inter lead by 70 wins to 40 in Serie A TIM against Bologna (35 draws). Following their win in the reverse fixture, Inter could record two wins against Bologna in a single Serie A TIM campaign for the first time since 2015/16. Inter have won 40 of their 72 home games against Bologna in Serie A TIM, sharing 21 draws and losing 11. Inter have netted 62 goals in Serie A TIM this season - in the last 55 years, only in 2006/07 have they scored more in their opening 29 games of a campaign (63 goals). Bologna’s last away draw came back in September – since then, they’ve won five and lost six of their 11 matches on the road. Bologna are the only side yet to score a goal from outside the box away from home in Serie A TIM this season. Antonio Conte is unbeaten as a Serie A TIM manager against Bologna (W5 D2). Inter’s Antonio Candreva’s first Serie A TIM goal came in February 2010 against Bologna when he was at Juve. Nicola Sansone has scored four goals against Inter in Serie A TIM – however, his last goal against them came in February 2015 whilst playing for Sassuolo. Bologna striker Rodrigo Palacio played 140 Serie A TIM games for Inter, scoring 39 goals between 2012 and 2017. BRESCIA vs HELLAS VERONA This will be the 10th meeting between Brescia and Hellas Verona in Serie A TIM – Verona lead by four wins to one (D4). Brescia’s only win against Verona so far came in April 2001, courtesy of a penalty converted by Roberto Baggio, under manager Carlo Mazzone. Brescia are unbeaten at home against Verona in Serie A TIM, with three draws as well as a victory in 2001. Verona have won each of their three games against fellow newly promoted sides in Serie A TIM this season – the last time a side coming from Serie B won all of their encounters against fellow newly promoted teams in a single season was Verona in 2013/14. Brescia have won only one of their 14 home Serie A TIM games this season (D4 L9) – last side to avoid relegation with such a poor record on home soil at this stage of a campaign was Verona in 1972/73. Verona have drawn five of their last six away games (L1). 73% of Brescia’s home goals this season have been scored in the first half (11 of 15), including each of the last three. Brescia have already dropped 18 points from leading situations at home this season – a league high. Verona have had 11 goals scored by substitutes in Serie A TIM this season, including the last two against Parma (Zaccagni and Pessina). Brescia’s last eight home goals in Serie A TIM have been scored by seven different players (only Ernesto Torregrossa has netted two goals during this period). Marko Lazovic has been involved in five of Verona’s last eight Serie A TIM goals (excl. own goals), scoring one and providing four assists. CAGLIARI vs ATALANTA Cagliari have won four of their last five Serie A TIM matches against Atalanta – included a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture this season – as many as they had in their previous 14 in the competition. These two sides last shared the points in a Serie A TIM encounter in January 2013 – since then, the Sardinians lead by six wins to five. Over the last five Serie campaigns, Cagliari have lost four of the last five games against Atalanta played in the second half of the season, failing to score in three of those games. Cagliari failed to score in this exact fixture last season – they last went consecutive home games against the Bergamaschi without scoring in the 1960s. Atalanta have won their last four away games- they’ve never won five in a row on the road in their Serie A TIM history. Cagliari have picked up seven points in their last three Serie A TIM games, as many as they gained in their previous 13. Walter Zenga is unbeaten as a manager against Gian Piero Gasperini (W1 D3). Cagliari’s Valter Birsa made his Serie A TIM debut in September 2011 against Atalanta while playing for Genoa. He has scored more goals against La Dea than any other team in the competition (3 goals in 12 appearances). Atalanta’s Alejandro Gómez has scored three goals in 14 league appearances against Cagliari, scoring all three goals on home soil in 2017. Amongst opponents he has faced at least 10 times in Serie A TIM, Atalanta’s Josip Iliic has scored the fewest goals against Cagliari: just 1 in 11 games, with his goal coming back in January 2013 when he was at Palermo. PARMA vs FIORENTINA Fiorentina lead by 15 wins to 14 against Parma in Serie A TIM, with 16 draws so far.
