Containment Zone District Gautam Budh Nagar 15/07/2020 CONTAINMENT ZONE DISTRICT GAUTAM BUDH NAGAR 15/07/2020 Order dated 13th JUNE 2020 of Chief Secretary UP Government the containment zone in urban areas will be 250 meter radius or entire mohalla (floor in which the patient resides in a society)incase there is a single positive case and radius of 500 meters if there are more than one positive cases with a buffer zone of 250 meters will be taken as containment zone. In rural areas the village will be taken as containment zone if there is one case, if there is more than one case the adjoining area of village will be taken as buffer zone. In case of multi storied residential buildings / societies the following rules shall apply with regards to containment zones: If one case in a floor situated in a multi-story society, that particular floor where active case/ cases have been found shall be designated as containment zone.If cases are found in more than one tower in a society, all such towers where active cases have been found along with all such common facilities like park, gym swimming pool, and banquet hall shall form containment zone.     Project Summary The Hi-Tech Township Project is proposed in the villages - Beel Akbarpur, Bhogpur, Chamrawli Ramgarh, Duttawali, Kamairala, Ghori Bachhera, Baraki, Luharli, Basantpur and Samauddinpur, Tehsil - Dadri, District - Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Project is being developed by M/s Uttam Steel & Associates (Consortium). The project was accorded for Environmental Clearance vide reference no. 1566/SEAC/201/2008/AD(H)/ dated 7th October, 2009. The total plot area of the project is 2,504.00 Acres, whereas, net planning area is around 2,385.04 Acres. The total built up area involved in the integrated township project is 1,54,06,130.9 sq.m., however, M/s Uttam Steel & Associates (Consortium) will develop only 21,53, 151.38 sq. m (approx) of the total built up area. Due to delay in land acquisition and slight change in project plan, the project gets derailed from expected completion target. EC extension application has been made before SEIAA UP, however, due to MoEF&CC Gazette Notification No. 2910 dated 9th December 2016, the category of the project has been changed from “B” to “A”. Accordingly Application has been submitted to MoEF&CC for extension of the EC validity with vide proposal No. IA/UP/NCP/62266/2009 dated 27th March, 2017.     AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL Public Statement India: Concerns over harassment and continued detention of protestors against Dadri displacement in Uttar Pradesh Amnesty International is concerned by reports of continued detention of eight activists of the Dadri Kisan Union (DKU) in Ghaziabad district jail in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) since 27 September 2006. They were detained by the UP state police for protesting against displacement of farmers in Dadri following the state government’s recent decision to acquire farmland, part of which would be sold to and part leased to the Reliance Energy Group’s (REG) proposed gas-based 3,740 MW power plant. Reports received by Amnesty International say that the eight persons, including the DKU leader Bhupendra Singh Rawat and two women, were travelling in a vehicle to New Delhi to attend a press conference to highlight the ongoing protests at Dadri when the state police detained them. The police allegedly threatened Mr. Rawat and other detained activists that they should drop their protest plans and accused them of several charges. These charges, including attempting to murder police personnel on duty and resorting to rioting and violence, were reportedly registered in such a manner to delay their release on bail. On 6 October, a team of activists from New Delhi was not allowed to meet Mr. Rawat and other detained activists at the Ghaziabad district jail. Amnesty International urges the UP government to release of Mr. Rawat and other DKU activists immediately and unconditionally. Amnesty International also urges the UP government to ensure that the right to peaceful protest is upheld in the state and that the police should not resort to harassment of activists involved in exercising their constitutionally guaranteed right to peaceful protest.
