School Community Library Survey - July 2018

Survey - Proposal for a Community Run Library at Chew Valley

Bath & North East Council recently completed a review of library provision and invited community groups and organisations to submit expressions of interest to establish their own local community based library provision. The Council are offering to support these new libraries with stock, some initial financial investment and training as part of their ‘invest to save’ programme. Following a presentation made to the Chew Valley Forum last year and the subsequent discussion between the forum members, decided to submit a proposal and have now been given the opportunity to develop a business plan and full application for setting up and running a community library based in the existing school library building on their campus in Chew Lane. To help shape this proposal we would welcome your thoughts. Please help us to decide how we could operate the new by completing the survey below.

By completing this survey, you agree to your information being used to inform a proposal for the Chew Valley Community Library. Your information will be securely held by West of Rural Network (WERN) in accordance with all current data protection legislation. All personal information collected will be stored securely and only be shared within WERN, unless required by law. An anonymised summary of this consultation will be submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council as part of the Community Library proposal and will be publicly accessible, but no individual responses will be available.
