Our town welcomed Asia’s grandest street and floats parade, Chingay @ Heartlands on 10 March 2018. This year’s theme of “Cultural FUNtasy” highlighted our rich multi-ethnic and cosmopolitan culture in a way that is uniquely Singaporean and involved many organisations and communities to create a dazzling extravaganza of colours and cultural diversity. Vibrant floats and dancing performers of different races and ages in their colourful costumes passed through our towns. Residents enjoyed the parade as One United Singapore. This year, we also hosted friends from Japan, Vietnam and Indonesia who all joined in our celebrations, showcasing their food, culture and performances. In various parts of our town, carnivals entertained the residents with performances such as multi-cultural stage performances, inflatable children games, exhibition booths, mural wall painting and many more. The event ended with a beautiful seven minute fireworks display. What a night to remember! 妆CHINGAY 2018 艺@ HEARTLANDS
