We have also briefly played DDDA on a 3.5 year-old ASUS Ultrabook laptop with a Core i7 + GT 650M chip where ͚Medium͛ settings seem to be the sweet spot for running the game at 1080p with a reasonably stable 30fps (or 720p/60 with ͚Low͛ settings). Laptops without a dedicated graphics chip will have to further pare down graphics and resolution settings to get the game to run at a playable frame rate. Anecdotally speaking, the game seems to run okay on the aforementioned ASUS laptop when forced to run on an Intel HD4000 series processor at 720p, 30fps cap, and all other graphics settings set to low. Compatibility and performance will vary depending on other factors so there͛s no guarantee; at the end of the day, you͛re on your own when it comes to laptops. -

But we will be introducing other titles as well throughout the year. Consequently, our title introductions are spread evenly throughout the next fiscal year once you include all of the titles we plan to launch. Q. Please tell us about upcoming platform strategy initiatives. A. There is no change in our multi-platform strategy. We will select the platforms that best utilize the features of each game. Q. Will Monster Hunter Frontier Online be distributed for the Xbox 360 by using MT Framework? A. We will not use MT Framework. Monster Hunter Frontier Online is a title used exclusively for online play. In 2012 research found that about 58% of Americans play videogames.7 Additionally, consumers spent approximately $20.77 billion dollars on videogames.7 Atlus is just one of the many videogame companies that exist today. Atlus’ most well-known product is the Shin Megami Tenesi series. The Shin Megami Tenesi series is comprised of about 49 games.8 This report is just an introduction to one of the many games in the Shin Megami Tensei series. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, usually just called Persona 4, is a PlayStation 2 (PS2) role playing game (RPG) developed by Atlus. Persona 4 is the fifth game in Atlus’ ongoing Persona series. Persona 4 revolves around the lives of seven high school students and Teddie (a teddy bear who can speak and interact with humans) as they attempt to capture the culprit responsible for the recent murders and kidnappings happening in their town of Inaba, Japan. Master programme in Innovation and Spatial Dynamics The interplay of regional dynamics, firm characteristics, and knowledge bases in establishing global innovation networks – A case study of the video game cluster in the Skåne region of Sweden James McKeever [email protected] This paper investigates the spatial distribution of different knowledge sourcing mechanisms by a network of video game developers in the Skåne region of Sweden. The video game industry has evolved considerably since its inception; transforming from a localized niche industry to one of the fastest growing media industries in the world. This paper aims to address how industry evolution engenders both a paradigm shift in the type of knowledge variety needed, and the spatial proximity from where that knowledge is sourced. This paper also explores, the mechanisms and dynamics which facilitate firms to engage in global innovation networks. It is understood that the engagement of global innovation networks is contingent on both the regional dynamics and knowledge base of the industry. However, little is understood on the driving mechanisms of these networks and why firms engage in them. The thesis is based on data collected through a survey and interviews of firms developing video games in the Skåne region to gain insight into their global and regional networks, through which different knowledge was sourced. Network data was analyzed via social network analysis and cross-referenced with relevant theoretical conceptualizations and interview transcriptions to ensure sound analysis and triangulation. The results suggest a new hybrid configuration of global-local networks: Global innovation networks were established via key strategic actors in the region who act as gatekeepers to international networking.
