This represents growth of 62,812 people for the year and brings Victoria’s total ERP to 4,872,538 people. Queensland again experienced the fastest population growth rate: 2.2% in 2001-02; while Victoria and Western Australia experienced the second fastest growth rates in Australia at 1.4% each for 2001-02.
