People enthusiasm of traveling provided the idea of getting better for government and entrepreneurs to ease mass infrastructures which satisfied and met customer needs. That's why this industry becomes the most magnificent phenomenon in the past three decades. In the present paper an attempt has been made to find out the image of Kish Island as very important tourism destination in Iran. There is lack of data about this beautiful tourism destination since very diminutive information merely can be finding in Persian website written by Persian language. The study is based on research data obtained from mounts research in Kish Island and previous published data. The aim of this paper is to argue about different aspects of tourism and specifically about tourism geography in KISH Island located in Iran.     Trade-Industrial Free Zones of Iran Kish Trade-Industrial Free Zone -Geographical Location Kish Island has a surface area of 90 square kilometers, with an outer boundary of 40kms, and a nearly elliptical shape. It is located in the Persian Gulf 19kms from mainland Iran. The Island is positioned along the 1359km long Iranian coastline north of the Persian Gulf, at the first quarter from the hormuz entrance to the Gulf. Its longitudinal and latitudinal positions are 2632 and 53.58 degrees respectively. The Island is 15.45kms long from west coast to the east coast. Its maximum width extending from the southern shorelines to the northern shorelines is 7.5kms. Economic and commercial development Considering the free zone potentials in cooperating with other countries in the region and investment opportunities, KFZO has had the following economic development plans: Establishing a regional goods and services exchange center The presence of large international oil and gas companies to support South Pars and Asalouyeh activities, and the transfer of the offices of the Oil Ministry from abroad have created the background for establishing an oil exchange market in Kish. Furthermore, the decorative and gem stones stock exchange and software and hardware are also being processed by the organization.

ABSTRACT The tourist Island Kish, with an area of about 90 square kilometers, is located in the Persian Gulf about 20 km from the southern coast of Iran and about 1000 km from Tehran. With its status as a free port, the island has specialized as a successful tourist destination with large hotels and services. The airport is located at the center of the island and all around the settlements. The fortune of the island as a tourist destination has encouraged immigration for reasons of work, and at the same time has brought out the need for new residential areas to accommodate tourists and workers. The thesis explores the development of a tourist and residential sector located on the southern coast of the island, taking into account, in particular, the aspects of energy saving and environmental protection. The work includes the following parts: a) topographical and urban analysis of the Island of Kish; b) verification of the general urban plan for the entire island. c) urban planning of a sector of approximately 114 hectares with a settlement capacity of 10 thousand people.
