Health and social care, an engineering curriculum with specialisms in CNC machining, mechatronics and renewables, education programmes to level 7, the development of professional programmes including levels 3-5 CIPD, Nebosh, AAT and CIMA and extensive expertise in working with learners with learning difficulties and disabilities

Scarborough Sixth Form College

Type: Sixth-form college

The college is the main provider of science and mathematics A levels in Scarborough, and the sole provider of languages, literature and social sciences A levels. It is also the sole or main provider in Scarborough for a number of level 3 BTECs and has strong provision in arts and media

The college works closely with Askham Bryan College who have a base onsite offering animal care and management, and The Academy Hair and Beauty College to deliver beauty therapy and hairdressing

Scarborough TEC (formerly Yorkshire Coast College)

Type: General further education college

Location: Scarborough TEC is based in Scarborough, and is part of the Grimsby Institute Group. The group also has centres in Grimsby and Skegness

The Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education (Grimsby Institute Group) delivers a range of provision from entry level to masters’ degree and covers all sector subject areas. Scarborough TEC offers primarily technical education for 16 to19 year olds and adult further and higher education for learners in Scarborough and its surrounds

The college offers a number of minority subjects at A level, including music, dance, archaeology, geology and a range of modern foreign languages. Maths and science provision is very strong, as are art and design and performing arts (including backstage arts). Additionally, the college offers specialisms in construction (including stonemasonry) and engineering and works closely with specialist local employers (such as York Minster and Nestlé)

York College is a founder member of the Higher York Partnership, which is a partnership between Askham Bryan College, City of York Council, the University of York, York College and York St John University.
