Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” 3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” b. Arnold Potter (1804-1872) Schismatic Latter Day Saint Leader, claimed that the spirit of Jesus Christ entered into his body and he became “potter Christ” Son of the living God. He died b attempting to ascend into heaven by jumping off a cliff. g. Jones Very (1813-1880) Literary scholar and Greek tutor at Harvard. Had a nervous breakdown in 1837 after which he claimed to have become the Second coming of Jesus Christ. h. Bahaulah (1817-1892) born Shiite, adopted Babism in 1844 and claimed to e the prophesied fulfillment and Promised One of major religious including Hinduism, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. He found the Bahai Faith. i. William W. Davis (1833-1906) leader of a Latter Day Saint schismatic grp called the Kingdom of Heaven located in Walla Walla, Washington. Prophecy Series 2021 Taught his followers he was the archangel Michael . When his son Arthu was born on 11 February 1868, Davies declared that the infant was the reincarnated Jesus Christ and his second son born, Davin 1969, he was declared to be God the Father. j. Mirza Ahmad of India (1835-1908) claimed to be the Second coming and likeness of Jesus. k. Carl Browne (1849-1914) American Activist and leader of the Coxey’s Army pretest movement claimed to be the partial reincarnation of Jesus. l. John Hugh Smyth-Pigot (1952-1927) m. Haile Selassie I (1892-1975) - The Rastafari movement which emerged in Jamaica believes he is the Second Coming. n. Lou de Paling Poer (1898-1968) Claimed to be the resurrected body of Jesus Christ. o. Ernest Norman (1904-1971)founded the Unarious Academy of Science 9n 1954 and was allegedly Jesus Christ in the past life and earthly incarnation as archangel Raphael. p. Krishna Venta (1911-1958) Founded the Wisdom, knowledge, Faith and Love Fountain of the word Cult in Simi Valley California and in the late 1940’s claimed to have led a convo of rocket ships to Earth from the extinct planet Neophrates and was killed by suicide bombs from 2 followers. q. Jesu Oyingbo (1915-1988) Nigerian mane proclaimed to be Jesus Chist. r. Ahn Sahng-hong (1918-1985)South Korean who founded the World Mission Society Church of God in 1964 who recognized him as the Second Coming of Jesus s. Sun Myung Moon (1920-2012) t. Douglas Metcalf (1921-1968) lead of the Full Gospel Mission aka Camp David aka Th God Squad and was referred to as Lord Jeheeshua u. Jim Jones (1931-1978) Peoples Temple started off as a Protestant claimed to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, Akhenaten, BuddhaVladimir Lenin and Father Divine. Organized a mass murder suicide at Jonestown Guyana Nov 18, 1978. Prophecy Series 2021 v. Marshal Applewhite (1931-1997) Confessed to be Jesus Christ and his Heaven’s Gate Religious group committed mass suicide on March 26, 1997. w. 22 more people have declared to the Christ a total number of 44 people. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom a. Race and Geographical Locations. b. Racial Tension in the USA (2020 and 2021); Racial Cleansing in Brazil (blacks and poor) c. Zechariah 14:13-14 5. Famines. Lack of food. Killed nearly 75 million people in the 20th Century. Beginning of the 21st Century famine still threatens over 20 million people across South sudan, Nigeria, Somalia and Yemen. (drought and war causes famines) 6. Pestilences (plagues and diseases) 7. Earthquakes (Natural Occurrences) a. All these are the beginning of sorrows, not the end of age. 8. Delivered up to tribulation and killed for Jesus’ sake. a. 1 John 4:4 ….greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. b. Chaos begins to happen and love grows cold, betrayal between people begins to escalate. c. Matthew 10:16-20: What Jesus said to the disciples then, still applies to us today. Persecution is on the rise and Christians are being targeted within our or country (USA) and Prophecy Series 2021 abroad. Some will even come from those that call themselves “brothers and sisters”. (John 16:2) 9. False Prophets will arise a. Paul warns Peter in 2 Peter 2:1 b. Revelation 13:11 (Image of the dragon called forth by the people of the earth. – 10 horns political power and 7 heads is the authority) c. Revelation 19:20 – beast and false prophet captured. d. 1 Timothy 4:1 10. Lawless will abound and love will grow cold. a. 2 Timothy 3:1-3 b. Hate Crimes on the Rise c. Racial Tension/Crimes d. Persecuted for having a different ideology or philosophy e. Destruction of Public Property f. Disregard for authority. g. Murder, Theft, Sexual Crimes are all on the rise. h. Matthew 10:22: will be hated because of Jesus. 11. Those who endure to the end will be saved. a. Matthew 25:1-13 (10 Virgins – Lamp/Oil) b. Matthew 7:13-14 (Wide/Narrow Gate) 12. Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and the end will come. a. Matthew 4:33 iii. The End will come. V. Understanding Ezekiel 38 and Matthew 24 a. Ezekiel 38 is preceded by Ezekiel 28 i. Ezekiel 28: 24-26 1. Israel will dwell securely when their surrounding Arab neighbors who despise the Jewish sate have judgments executed upon them. 2. Ezekiel 38 Muslim nations will also be upset with Israel if, after defeating the Arabs of Psalm 83, they break ground on the construction of their third Jewish temple. b. Ezekiel 38:1-17 i. Gog and Magog: is the leader of the coalition that has been formed to come against Israel and coming from the Land of Magog. Magog is modern day Russian and Gog is the leader of Russia. Prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal Prophecy Series 2021 ii. Will rise with a coalition force to march against Israel for the wealth that it has. iii. Coalition Forces: Made of Rosh, Meshech, Tubal, Persia, Ethiopia, Lybia and Gomer. 1. Magog – (Noah’s second son – Genesis 10:2; 1 Chronicles 1:5; Revelation 20:8 ) Modern day: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and perhaps Afghanistan) 2.

    ISRAEL IN PROPHECY LESSON 5 GOG AND MAGOG BATTLE ISRAEL The “latter days” battle against Israel described in Ezekiel is applied by dispensationalists to a coming battle against the modern nation of Israel in Palestine. The majority of popular Bible commentators try to map out this battle and even name nations that will take part in it. In this lesson you will see that this prophecy in Ezekiel chapters 36 and 37 does not apply to the modern nation of Israel at all. You will study how the book of Revelation gives us insights into how this prophecy will be applied to God’s people, spiritual Israel (the church) in the last days. You will also see a clear parallel between the events described in Ezekiel’s prophecy and John’s description of the seven last plagues in Revelation. This prophecy of Ezekiel gives you another opportunity to learn how the “Three Fold Application” applies to Old Testament prophecy. This lesson lays out how Ezekiel’s prophecy was originally given to the literal nation of Israel at the time of the Babylonian captivity, and would have met a victorious fulfillment if they had remained faithful to God and accepted their Messiah, Jesus Christ. KIDD The history of American apocalyptic thought about Islam offers much reason for discouragement. Evangelical Christians have been too eager to gloss biblical prophecy with extra-biblical assertions and morbid scenarios of Islam’s demise. ince the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, many Christian Americans have expressed new interest in Islam. Often this interest is Sjust a matter of seeking more information about Muslims, the Prophet Muhammad, and the Qur’an. But many American evangelical and funda- mentalist Christians have placed increased focus on Islam and the apoca- lypse. The horrific collapse of the World Trade Center towers might well turn one’s thoughts to the apocalypse, but something more than horror is at work among these conservative Protestants. For many of them, Islam and jihadist terror seems to fit into long-held ideas about the last days before the return of Christ. Although the details have changed over time, American Christians have actually been speculating about connections between Islam and the apocalypse for centuries. The level of apocalyptic interest generated by 9/11 is new. The pattern of thought is not. For centuries, Protestant Christians have seen Islam as one of the chief religions over which Christ would triumph in the last days. In early Ameri- ca, colonists routinely commented on Islam, its supposedly duplicitous and violent nature, and its coming demise. Colonial Americans lived in a mental world where Islam was perceived as a major threat to Christianity, especial- ly because of the imperial ambitions of the Ottoman Turks, and the aggres- sions of the Barbary pirates.

    The War of Gog and Magog: The Haftara of Shabbat Chol Ha-moed Sukkot By Rabbi Mosheh Lichtenstein Translated by David Strauss The haftara for Shabbat Chol ha-Mo'ed Sukkot (Yechezkel 38:18-39:16), which deals with the war of Gog and Magog, is one of the most famous prophecies in Scripture. It has succeeded in taking hold of the human imagination and penetrating deeply into our cultural and religious consciousness. The destruction of the existing and imperfect world, the ultimate war against evil, the heavy price of blood, and God's victory over men of flesh and blood are powerful images that leave a profound impression on the human soul. Thus, this prophecy has become part of the inalienable property of the Jewish and general world. It is quite understandable, then, that this prophecy was included in the haftarot cycle. However, its relationship to the festival of Sukkot is not at all clear, and is even surprising, for what is the connection between a blood-drenched world war and the festival of Sukkot? How does the sukka of peace connect to war, and what is the relationship between the refuge and shelter of the sukka and the destruction and desolation described in this prophecy? The reading of the haftara of Gog and Magog on Shabbat Chol ha-Mo'ed Sukkot is not merely a custom, but an obligation of Talmudic law. The gemara in Megilla (31a) mentions it along with the other haftarot read on the various holidays to this very day; we thus see that Chazal already saw an essential connection between the prophecy and the festival.
